This poem is dedicated to someone I just now lost. It broke my heart.
My heart is broken.
But it hasn't happened yet
Nevertheless
I feel nothing
Where it should be
Tears are my constant companion
As I wander through life
Forever without him
This was not
How it was supposed to end
We were supposed to
Live forever
Just him and me
We were supposed to
Never forget or let go
My heart is broken.
But it hasn't happened yet
I fall to the ground
I fall on my own
Blackness surrounds me
But even then the blackness is gone
My forever companion
Gone in a day
How will I live without you
You were the one who was supposed to live past me
My heart is broken.
Never again to heal
My heart is broken.
Never will I love the same
My heart is broken.
Never will I heal from the loss
My heart is broken.
But it hasn't happened yet.
