After breakfast, Jason and I finished working on his car.
"There's gotta to be some more finishing touches," I said.
"Like what?"
"Well. The paint is chipped, badly. And it needs a wash...."
"Ok. Let's tell Mike that we are going to the body shop." when he came back, we got in the car.
"Let's test this baby out." he started it up. The engine roared to life, we both cheered and high-fived.
We got to the car shop to be the car repainted and cleaned. We walked in, and I saw someone very familiar.
"Jared?" he turned around.
"Tyler? Why are you with Jason? I thought you are supposed to be in Arizona."
"Mike Shinoda and Chester Bennington adopted me. We are staying with him. It's so good to see you through. I miss you when you are out of town and on tour." I hugged him.
"I have to make a living somehow. But, I miss you too." he smiled and hugged me back.
Jared Leto, the singer of 30 Seconds To Mars, was a really good friend of my mom before she passed. When I sneaked out, we would meet up in the woods and just talk. He couldn't adopt me because his wife said no, but that didn't stop us from being friends.
"Tyler. You want to help me or not?" Jason asked.
"I'm coming." Jared and I exchanged numbers and I went to Jason.
"I haven't seen him in a year. Give me a break." I told him.
"Ok. Pick out the paint. It doesn't have to be black." he smiled at me.
"Black is my favorite color." I laughed.
"Alright." he got the black paint and handed it to the man at the register.
They repainted it and gave it a wash, then we left for home.
