Dragon Quest: Years of Wars Past

Prologue

The young mage walks down the broken highway that used to connect the two great lands together. Now never used and broken. Her footsteps tap against the solid rock as she walks slowly across the once great bridge. The atmosphere was nearly bonechilling,nothing for miles except the bridge,the young girl,and the sea. Not to mention the blood stains from the past battles fought here. Many people wish they could forget the gruesome battles fought at this place. "Its too quiet here." The young woman said quietly as she looked around her. She put her hand readily on her staff,Prepared for an upcoming battle. It is known thieves to roam in this land,or worse... "If you exist,show yourselves!" Foot steps could be heard from behind her. She turned quickly to see a Man. His face pale and his eyes white. Drool came out of his mouth as he hobbled towards her. She let out a sad sigh as she rose her staff in the air. "Crack..." An icicle flew out of her staff towards the monster and punctured its stomach. The monster stood there before falling over. "By the Goddess so it wasn't just fairytales." Years past during the great war one of the warlords,skilled in the magical arts. Sent a curse among many of the men fighting sacrificing even his own kin in his wicked schemes. The curse caused the people affected to turn into mindless monsters made only to kill.They invade Towns and Kingdoms killing others and spreading the curse.until most were slayed by a group of warriors called the "StarHearts". "If these creatures are returning its worse then I thought..." The young Woman began to run towards where she was heading.She must hurry,for the fate of her entire world may depend on it...
