"Jenna!" GET UP! You're going to be late for school!" Liam said while jumping up and down on my bed.
"Leave me alone," I said back at him, while putting my head under my pillow to avoid Liam's screaming and yelling.
Liam is my older brother who always wakes me up in time for school. I don't always want to get up because of multiple of reasons. Instead my brother has to do it for me and sometimes his ways to get me up isn't what you call a "good" morning to start your day. The last time I didn't want to get up, he poured cold water on me... with ice... shaped like fishes. This one time he stuck his finger in my ear. It had saliva on it. Gross.
"You know I think I read on the internet somewhere that if someone doesn't want to get up I should....." Before he could even finish his sentence, I got up quickly and made my bed.
Whenever he read something online, he plans to do it himself. Even if it is something impossible or crazy, that doesn't stop him from accomplishing it.
I looked over at the clock on my dresser and saw it was six forty-five.
"What the- Liam! It's still too early!" I shouted. I heard him laugh and run out my room. My brother was an early bird so I'm guessing to pass his time, he decided to wake me up too.
Well there goes my sleep. I thought. After I was awake, I had trouble falling asleep no matter how hard I tried. I lived 10 minutes away from school. School didn't start until eight thirty. I had one hour and forty five minutes to get ready.
I was mad at Liam for waking me up way too early. Well whatever, I thought. I can never be mad at my brother no matter what he does. He was after all, the only sibling I had, so pranks like these didn't bother me much.
My parents had no other children after me. I was the youngest and Liam was the oldest. My brother, he was nineteen years old, already in college. Me and him were just two years apart. He is dorky and childish which makes everyone think he is the youngest amongst us two.
Although I had wished for a younger sibling, I was still happy I at least had a sibling. I didn't want to be alone when my parents were off to their business trips. My parents had already left to attend one of their meetings two days ago so it was just me and Liam in the house.
It was pretty cold outside since it was already late November. We still haven't had snow yet, which I can't wait for because I love the snow, even if it is freezing to the touch.
I went to the bathroom to wash my face and brush my teeth. I looked back at the clock, it was already 7:05 am.
After that I brushed my naturally straight hair which I didn't need to do much work on since it never got crazy tangled.
Once I finished, I went to my closet to pick out my clothes. I chose a pair of skinny jeans and a black sweatshirt with, "I hate everyone" imprinted on it. Which is mostly true, I wasn't much of a "people person" not because I was shy but due to the fact that I didn't know what to say most of the time.
I never took more that thirty minutes to get ready. I had no problem with my hair and it only took me five to ten minutes to pick out what to wear and put it on. The only makeup I ever wore was lipstick (sometimes), mascara, and a bit of eyeliner.
I walked over to my shelf which I kept my shoes and boots neatly aligned. I picked out a pair of boots that were a brown color and put them on with cream color leg warmers. I grabbed my green army jacket and went downstairs. The time was 7:37.
As I opened my door to go to the kitchen, a delicious smell hit my nose. My brother was already making the eggs, pancakes, and bacon. One of the pros about our parents always away on business trips is that we learned how to cook for ourselves. Breakfast was easy to make so is was hardly a challenge.
