4 months later.
I was sitting behind the counter in my gas station my aunt owns back in Jamaica. I flipped threw the magazine popping my gum not paying attention. My phone went off. It was Choochie.
"Hello?"
"Hey how's work?"
I smiled at her.
"Slow, it's 3 am no one is really up. Why are you up."
"I worry about you, so does Harry.''
"You guy are at the house?"
"Yup."
"Ok just go to bed. I'll be home at dawn ok."
I heard a ding from the door showing that someone walked in.
"Ok I will I love you Cat."
"Love you too."
I hung up my phone and continued reading. My hand traveled to the dog tag on my neck and twirled it. I never took it off. I sighed at the thought of Zayn. I miss him more then anything. A loud bang on the counter interrupted my thoughts.
"Will that be all?" I said not looking up.
The stranger didn't need to see the tears rolling down my cheeks.
"mmhmm."
I peeked behind the book to see that they were buying. A soda and a bag of chips.
"3 dollars."
I went over to the cash register and rang them up. And then to my surprise the person talked to me.
"Don't be sad ok."
I froze. My heart pumped fast and my eyes started to water.
"I'm ok."
I looked up slowly to meet the big brown eyes that I missed so much. My lips curled up into a smile and parted to say something but only one thing came to mind.
"Zayn."
