Ruthie: Where could they be? We've been looking for almost an hour. The warmers are starting to run out of battery.
Jan: Just a little more babe.
Ruthie: How much is a "little more"? Haven't we walked enough?
Jan: Look over there! Looks like a radio tower! We can contact people.
Ruthie: How will you know if it'll work or not?
Jan: Only one way to find out.
They make their way to the tower, not knowing what to expect.
Jan: This place is a dump.
Ruthie: Try to find a radio.
Jan: On it.
*Back at the lodge*
Michael: Okay I'm sick of waiting. I don't want them staying the night there.
Naji: I don't know. I don't want to go out there.
I'm pretty sure those wendigos are going to get us.Michael: Well, I'm not just going to sit here and let them all die.
Naji: You don't know that!
Michael: Then explain to my why they haven't come back yet!
Ivy: Can you guys stop yelling. Those wendigos are going to hear us. And I agree with Jean. I want to investigate.
Emily: I'm not going. It's too dangerous. I don't want to get eaten.
Michael: Come on, Em. Where's that adventurous girl I met 8 years ago? What happened to her?
Emily: I don't care what you say. I've already been out there and I'm not risking it again.
Naji: Finally, someone that talks a little bit of sense.
Ivy: So what? We're just going to leave our friends out there? We're not even going to try and save them?
Emmanuel: I'm ready for anything.
Naji: Fuck, I'm not going!
Michael: So what? Were just going to sit here and eat our own weight in food while Jan, Ruthie, Sabrina, and Bryan are dying out there? What's the other plan?
Naji: Can you just agree with me for once?
Michael: No, because I don't want to lose those four. Jan and Bryan were kind enough to invite you guys.
Naji: You know what? Fuck you. This relationship is over. Can't fucking believe I have spent 3 years of my life with you. *Slaps Michael in the face and starts crying. She heads to the room.*
Michael: Fuck this.
Michael packs his stuff and gets ready to go out, without saying a word. A tear rolls down his eye.
Ivy: No, Jean. Don't leave. Who'll protect Naji?
He slams the door shut.
Ivy: *Whispering* Emily, go comfort Naji. You're the only one, except for Jean, that knows how to comfort her.
Emily: I'll try. Doesn't work all the time.
She heads upstairs and enters Naji's room.
Naji: Jean, I said I'm done with you!
Emily: It's actually me.
Naji: Oh, Emily? I'm soo sorry. I didn't know it was you.
Emily: It's fine. I'm guessing this isn't the only time you guys ever fought like that.
Naji: Nope. *cries even harder* I mean, he always disagrees with me. I don't know why.
Emily: Well, maybe he just want the best for you. I mean, he said to us it was just going to be you too, but Bryan and Jan insisted. Real fuckers, am I right?
Naii: Then why does he want to go out there? It's clearly safer in here.
Emily: You never know that. That wendigo could've figured out that we are here. Maybe he was trying to take us somewhere safer; somewhere we could all be at.
Naji: Is he still out there?
Emily: No, he left without saying a word. To all of us.
*Back to the mine.*
Bryan: What the fuck? Where did that fucking cocksucker go?
(Voice): I don't think you'd want to go find them. They're the most dangerous thing in here.
Bryan: Who was that!?
(Voice): My name's Bradley. I've been hear for the longest time, and I co-existed with those things.
Bryan: Wait, things? With an s?
Bradley: Yes, with an s. They have multiplied since last year. There were only 1, but know there are 4.
Bryan: But how? There's no mate.
Bradley: It doesn't need a mate. Many people get lost out here, and they start resorting to cannibalism. Then the spirits of the Algonquian people change them into Wendigos. Turns out those spirits weren't myths after all.
Bryan: So there's more than one out there?
Bradley: Yes.
