"Ruby, hurry yourself!"
"I'm coming, mother."
"Sweetheart, church will start in less than thirty minutes. You already know I like to get there early."
"Pardon, mother. I'm all ready now. We may go."
I gave mother the fakest smile I have managed to improve over the years along with the ability of living with myself while wearing these dreadful white or yellow dresses or white skirts and pink or blue shirts, Mother had the worst sense of style there could be. Fucking Puritans.
Oh there's another thing I have no idea how I handle. Talking inumerous coherent sentences without spilling one single swear. I'm so badass.
Church was only a few blocks down the avenue. The traffic was annoying, true, but it took us less than ten minutes to get there. It was usually packed and the scent of burning candles with the morbid golden figures stuck on the walls sent shivers down my spine and an aching will of throwing up.
You have to keep their trust so you can fool around freely Ruby, it's for your own good.
Fuck was this boring. Good thing father let me drink coffee at breakfast otherwise my open eyes wouldn't last.

"You always dress in such a fancy way, dearest Ruby."
"Why isn't that nice, Priest Robson. Say thank you Ruby!"
"Thank you very much." I cordially replied, smilling in the most innocent yet fake way.
"Today's lesson will be in the room on the left, since we ran out of space here."
"Oh, more pupils I see?" My father asked.
"Well yes! A lot is never enough, as they say.", he chuckled, "And Lord knows how this young generation needs to follow thoroughly these teachings."
"Indeed they do, Sir."
"Worry not, Mr. Abbor. Little Ruby is an example all kids should follow." He smiled at me while patting me in the head. Does he think I'm a fucking dog or what? I smiled back and made my way to the stupid room to be greeted with a bunch of empty headed kids who think God really exists. Oh boy what a laugh I had every Sunday.
"So where's the new kid?" I asked as I sat on a light wooden bench.
"He must be arriving, he was sat next to me."
I ignored Allison - whom spoke - and concentrated on picking on my nails. Not only were most of these kids younger than me but also beyond dull.
As soon as the priest entered the room wearing his white trashy smile, it was obvious to the sight he was accompanied by the new kid himself. The scenario alone made me lift my head from the table and drop my chin to the very pits of hell.
My my, wasn't he a precious little diamond.
Only one kid here had blonde hair but it was all in little curls which pissed me the fuck off. The rest were boring brunettes and two or so ginger heads. And none of them had such blue eyes.
I followed him mindfully as he shifted clearly uncomfortable in his place next to the priest.
"Class, this is Luke and he will be joining us for the rest of the year!"
He tuck on the collar of his white shirt drearily buttoned to the top and smiled softly not even showing his teeth. I bet those teeth would look great marking my whole bod-
"Ruby?"
"Wha-Um... yes, Sir?"
"Could you recall what we talked about last Sunday?"
My eyes searched the place. Where did the little fucker sit?
"Sure?" My answer sounding more like a question. Why was he asking me to do a damn synopsis of last Sunday? He never did that. I started enunciating last week's events and kept my gaze at my little scarlet boy. He would intermittently look me in the eyes, then motion those round pieces of summer sky to his lap then to his book.
The priest stopped my speech only to continue today's lesson. It was shorter than usual, considering I had spent nearly twenty minutes droning.
Us all threw our goodbye's politely at the man in the dress as he did and moved outside the room. Quickly the group divided itself into smaller groups while chit chatting and I took on the opportunity to make an enchanting introduction.
"Hello", I spoke angelically wearing my most award winning smile, "I'm Ruby."
"Hi, I'm Luke." He smiled this time showing his teeth. Just as I thought they would be. As he finished saying his name, he reached out his palm for me to shake but c'mon I wanted full contact - I placed my hands on his shoulders and pulled him into my body sending an electricity wave through my whole body.
God damn these hormones.
I held him tight against me, bodies in utter contact. I could feel him getting uneasy under my touch especially since he wouldn't dare to place his hands in any part other than my arms. I pulled away still wearing a mischievious smile disguised as innocent.
"Pleased to meet you, Ruby." He said politely before almost running away.
Oh you will be.
