No one can explain the bizarre occurrences that are taking place in the village. Two sisters get caught into the middle of the drama during a heated sermon and Sarah makes a righteous decision amongst the chaos. Meant to be a play, but turned into a short story.

A tale of two young girls, Kristina and Violet live two vastly different lives. Kristina a witch who lives in the woods and Violet a young girl who lives an honest life in her Puritan village. The two girls frequently meet in the forest near Violets village. One day though the two are discovered by a girl from the village Violet lives in. Will this girl inform the other villagers of Violets secret? Or will she have mercy on both of their souls? Authors note: This was a small assingment from my creative writing class last semster. Sigtrygg, the second born son of the infamous demigod King Assur, takes pity on her and offers her a choice visit his father's secret kingdom high in the mountains. Verity is faced with the choice to stand by her family and return to a life of fearful duty or imagine a greater destiny for herself beyond Whitscar.
