What's going on? There's much more to that woman than I expected. I dropped the letter on the floor and sprinted to the ladder. I opened the trapdoor and peered out through one of the windows. I couldn't see her. Good. I opened the door, but standing right in front of me was the old woman wielding a steel dagger. I withdrew my steel sword from my fur armour, and stood, pointing my sword at her neck. She, however did not surrender. She instead began to jab at the side of my chest, before I swung my sword right through the upper side of the chest, leaving a giant blood line. She fell to her knees, and bellowed: "Never should have come here!" Before springing back up, dropping her dagger and wielding some sort of flame spell. She fired a round at me, before I bolted round a corner, recovered, and sprinted straight at her, slicing my sword through her heart. She was dead, but I still had several cuts and bruises. Luckily, I had looted a minor health potion and a stamina potion while in the basement of her shack. I quickly browsed through her body, looting about 34 gold and a spell tome, Healing. Maybe it'll work well on my left hand? Yes! Perfect idea! I'll become an amazing Battle-Mage! It took me a moment to process what happened, and then I realised that I still have no idea where Whiterun is. Once I was finished at the shack, I looked over the side of the cliff to see the Stones. I decided to go there, it was my second idea after the god-awful idea of the small shack. But I had to cross a giant river. This won't be fun. At least there were some rocks to step over. As I walked down the gentle hill, I was still in awe of the beauty of Skyrim. You could not dismiss the beautiful trees, the lovely sunset, and wonderful lakes. The purple night sky looks down on a ice-filled land full of terrible-yet wonderful creatures. I stepped down to the shore, and saw the rocks in front of me. One by one, I stepped over them. It was a horrifying experience, at any moment I could loose balance and drop into the waters, only to be pulled apart my Mudcrabs. At last I got across, and I made a sigh of relief. Little did I know, it was only a step behind me.
"AHH!" I shouted as loud as I could. I looked behind to see what had nearly taken my leg off, and it was nothing short of an average Mudcrab. I felt so silly. I took out my sword, and thrusted it into the Mudcrabs big, fat head. I was feeling very hungry. I don't know what time I had gotten up, but the sky was already dark. I started to pick the Mudcrab apart, pulling off it's leg, and eating it. It didn't actually taste that bad. It would keep me alive at the most. The Stones were on top of a small hill, and at that moment I noticed- I was on a path! Yes! Finally! I went up to the three stones, and saw some markings on them. One was called The Mage Stone, the other two The Warrior Stone and The Thief Stone. What do they do? I don't know. I knew the one I would pick: The Warrior Stone. I walked up to it, and somehow, it activated. I didn't touch anything. Suddenly, everything began to light up, I could see a very clear warrior, marked on the stone, and a bright light shined up to the skies. It was one of the most magnificent things I'd ever seen. I felt something weird happen to me. Like something was travelling through me- perhaps the abilities I had just contracted from those strange stones? I was still staring with awe at the stone, but someone tapped me on the back.
I withdrew my sword and pointed it at his/her neck without hesitation. "Whoa whoa! Hey, it's okay. I'm not armed, you can lower your weapon." The stranger said in a womanly. I lowered the sword. I stared into their eyes. "Who are you, and what do you want?" The woman was wearing a hood, and I couldn't quite figure out who it was. "The name's Aela the Huntress. I heard someone screaming, was that you?" I nodded. "And what are you doing out here, all alone? You know bandits and Forsworn are ravaging The Reach and Falkreath." I began to feel a little guilty, making her worry like that, over a silly Mudcrab. "Yeah, a Mudcrab nearly took my leg off, and then I found this thing." I pointed at the stones. "Ah, those are the Guardian stones. My shield-siblings often come here for the Warrior Stone, I however, go for the thief. You seem new to Skyrim, are you a Breton?" Aela asked. She seemed to be very nice towards me. "Uh, yeah, I am. I was just wondering, what are you doing out here and do you know how to get to Whiterun? I came from down river, and I saw this thing." Obviously I didn't tell her about the shack, I don't want her to think I was a murderer. "Oh, I came for my weekly hunting trip, y'know, find some game. And about Whiterun, you're in luck. I was just returning as I heard you screaming. Do you know these people called the companions?" Aela asked, hoping that I would know who she was. "No, sorry. I came from High Rock about a week ago, looking to get some money and influence back home. I don't know anything about Skyrim. I should have prepared before I set on this," I stuttered, "Fools errand." Aela smiled and nodded. She pointed down the river, back where I came from. "If you look down the river, can you just make out a stone wall?" I nodded. "Thats what remains of Helgen. It was blown away 4 years ago by a dragon. To the left of it, is the way to Whiterun. Shall we go together?" She asked "Maybe I can teach you a few things about Skyrim." I smiled, looked back, and answered. "Sure, let's go."
