Chapter 3

Anastasia's POV:

I kept on running until I reached my pack's territory border. I sat down at the edge of the border. Why did I have to get the biggest player in school as a mate? What did I do to deserve this? I don't even know why I'm feeling this way! "That's because he's our mate you idiot!", my wolf shouted in my head. After her bitchy comment I blocked her completely. I leaned against the big Oak tree and looked at the empty field before me. It was a full moon tonight and the light of it was illuminating the entire area. It was so beautiful here. I always came here when I was sad, angry, or just needed someplace to think. I got up and started hiking up the side of our border. When I reached my destination I started to strip down until I was in my underwear and bra only. The full moon tonight really made the lake look even prettier then it does during the daytime. I backed up and was about to propel myself off the edge of the cliff until I heard something rustle the bushes. I immediately shifted into my pure white wolf and got down into my fighting position. I was ready for anything that would come my way, but what I wasn't ready for was to see the face of the man that was supposedly made for me and me only. My mate and future Alpha, Damian Scott. Shit.

Damian's POV:

Why was my mate in my special place? Nobody knows about this place. Or at least I thought nobody knew about this place.

"What the fuck are you doing here?"

I tried to keep my voice calm, but instead it sounded more like a growl.

Her wolf made a gesture as to say, "I could ask you the exact same thing."

"Could you please shift so we can talk? We really got off on the wrong foot."

She shook her head as if to say yes, but she didn't shift. Oh for the love of God! She was waiting for me to turn around!

"Oh you have got to be kidding me! I'm your mate for crying out loud!"

She just looked at me and sat down. Ana was seriously about to make me turn around so she could shift!

"Could you just turn around all ready!?", my wolf shouted at me.

I mumbled a few choice words that shouldn't be mentioned and finally turned around. I heard Ana rustling around for her clothes. I really wish she hadn't all but demanded me to turn around because I can only imagine what her body looks like under the moonlight. I was getting hard just of the thought of it! Damn, the effect she has on me and she doesn't even know it.

"You can turn around now.", she said irritability.

Damn, she really doesn't want to talk to me. I don't even know what I did! I didn't say anything to offend her, did I? If I did I don't know remember what I said.

"I'm waiting. I don't have all day you know."

Blushing I replied, "Yes, I know. Sorry. Ummm.. I don't know what I said to offend you back there, but I'm sorry for whatever I may or may not have said."

By the look on her face I could tell that she didn't believe me. Was what I said really that bad?

"Why should I forgive you for what you said Damian!? You practically just stated back there that you were disappointed in who your mate was!", she yelled in my face. Her cheeks were a bright red because she was so flustered.

Damn, she was pissed off, but when Ana was mad she was sexy as hell! Hold up! Did she just say I was disappointed in her!? Why the fuck would I be disappointed!? Disappointed would be the last word to describe the feelings I have for her.

"Why on earth would I be disappointed? You are by far the best thing that has ever happened to me! Your my mate and I wouldn't want any one but you! Your absolutely gorgeous and way out of my league. Not just are you gorgeous but you are smart, and I mean child prodigy smart! You are fucking amazing and I wouldn't want you any other way."

I could tell that my speech hit home. I meant every damn thing I said in that speech. I poured my heart into that speech, and I really hope that Anastasia could try and give us a chance. Now all I had to do was wait for her response to that. I'm praying for a good one.
