Thursday night had finally arrived. Dom had convinced Jackie that he would pick her up and drive her to their secret rendezvous. He hadn't given away any more hints on where they were going. She had managed to get out of him that it was a casual affair and that she didn't need to wear anything fancy. She had decided to wear a simple pair of black skinny jeans that hugged her in all the right places, with a simple white blouse, a black blazer with the sleeves rolled up, and ballet flat shoes. She had just finished applying the finishing touches to her neutral make-up when the doorbell rang. She jumped slightly as she looked at the clock. "Punctual" she thought as she headed to answer the door. She stopped and took a deep breath before reaching for the door handle.
"Hi." Was all she could mutter as she stared into his eyes.
"Hi yourself," Dom replied. "You look fantastic, as usual."
"Thanks, you're not so bad yourself." Jackie noticed he was wearing casual blue jeans and a collared polo shirt under a navy soft-shell jacket. The canvas boat shoes on his feet finally gave her a clue that he may be taking her on the yacht. "Are we heading to the marina?" she asked curiously.
"Maybe, Maybe not? We shall just see where the wind takes us." He had that Cheshire cat grin on his face that sent Jackie's body into a frenzy. "Now shall we go?" Dom stepped sideways and waved his arm towards the Audi parked in her driveway. It was the same car that he was driving when he stopped to help her on the side of the road. For some reason she expected him to be driving something else, but was pleasantly surprised that he was driving the same car.
"I'll just get my purse." Jackie headed into the lounge and grabbed her purse off the coffee table. When she turned around and straightened Dom was standing right behind her. He softly cupped her face with his hands and kissed her passionately, taking Jackie completely by surprise. She instantly melted into his embrace and parted her lips slightly, inviting his tongue to search for hers. He didn't need a second invitation and she felt sparks race over her body and finally cross the forbidden finish line as he caught her bottom lip and gently sucked.
"I've been waiting to do that all week." He whispered gently in her ear.
Stunned Jackie just stood there for a second trying to catch her breath. "Meatloaf knew what he was saying when he sang You took the words right out of my mouth", she finally said. Taking her hand in his, Dom led her out of the door and to his car.
As they headed towards the city Jackie watched his every move behind the wheel. She couldn't stifle the smile that broke out on her face.
"What's that for?" Dom asked.
"What's What for?"
"The smile." Dom replied. "You do have a beautiful smile you know."
"I know." Jackie responded. "You have mentioned it before."
"Only because it's true."
"Are we there yet?" Jackie asked playfully. "How much further?"
Dom chuckled. "A little impatient are we."
"I just want to know where we're going already."
"You will just have to wait a little longer. Not much further to go," he replied as he steered the car off the motorway. He had taken the same exit that she had on Monday when she drove to the Blue Flamingo, except he turned left towards the marina instead of right towards the city.
"Are we going sailing?" Jackie questioned.
"Not really." Dom replied. "We will be heading out on the harbour."
