It had been a week since the big fight. You still felt guilty because of the horrible, stupid things you said. Armin had seemed to have forgotten all about it. He was happy as ever. Not that that was bad. You quite enjoyed when Armin was happy. He was pleasant to be around. It was currently lunch time. The two of you sat comfortably at one of the tables in the back of the room.

Armin turned to you and tried to speak with a mouth full of turkey sandwich.

"Didn't quite catch that."

You chuckled. Armin swallowed the remains of mush in his mouth before talking.

"I was trying to ask what you want to do tonight."

"I don't know? Is tonight a special occasion?"

"No, but it can be. That is, if you'd like it to be?"

"I don't particularly care. What ideas do you have?"

"I was kind of thinking that we could do something different..."

"Like?"

This sounded a bit strange. Please don't be something kinky.

"So I heard these girls in my math class talking about this thing called a friend date."

Oh thank god, something innocent.

"It's basically when you and your friend go out on a date. But like it's not a date."

"Yeah, yeah I know what you mean. I used to go on friend dates with my old friends."

"Oh okay. So would you be willing to maybe go on one with me?"

"Yeah, of course. I'd love to."

Armins face lit up with glee.

"Great! W-Where do you want to go?"

"Surprise me."

"O-Okay!"

Armin looked down at his empty milk container, then looked over at yours; completely full.

"Hey, can I have a sip?"

"Of what?"

"Your milk."

"Oh~hohoho! I see how it is. Definitely not here."

You smirked. It took Armin a moment to clue into what you were hinting at.

"Awe come on Y/N! Not that! You know what I mean!"

You laughed at him and pushed the milk container over towards him.

"Here. I'm sorry."

Armin picked it up and tried to take a sip. He gave you a dirty look and tipped the container over.

"There's none left?"

He said, irritated. There was no response to that so you stayed quiet.

"I'm going to get you back for that."

He snarled.

It was almost 5pm. You were playing on your phone while laying on your couch. Come on, 3 more points and I'll win the whole game! All of the sudden the door bell rang, taking you out of your concentrated trans. The little ball in the game dropped and you lost.

"Dammit! Who the hell would do that? A damn moron!"

You got up off of the couch and headed towards the front door. You opened it and there stood Armin. The rage inside of you calmed.

"H-Hey."

You managed to stutter out.

"Are you ready for our date- I m-mean friend-date! Friend-date! As friends! Sorry..."

"Oh yeah! Sorry, it totally slipped my mind. But yeah, I'm ready enough."

"O-Oh, okay. Well lets go then!"

You nodded in response to his statement as you slipped on some shoes.

"So where to?"

"You'll see."

Armin closed the door behind you.

"I have quite the night in store for us."

The first location was as expected, a restaurant. It was this local pub you had passed thousands of times before, but never entered. It had a nice kind of vintage feel to it. It was relaxing. The both of you got seated at a booth. You sat on opposite sides. Armin looked sternly at the menu. You looked up at him and watched as his site glided across the laminated sheet of paper.

"Armin?"

His head shot up.

"Yeah?"

"N-Nothing. You just look really... concerned or something."

"O-Oh... sorry. I'm not meaning to. Sorry if I'm already ruining this. This was supposed to be fun."

"No, no! You aren't at all. I'm having a good time so far. If you'd stop being so negative I'd be having a great time."

That came off a bit harsh.

"You're right. I'll be positive from now on!"

"Good."

A ditzy blonde waitress approached you and Armin. She smiled at you.

"So, do'ya know what'cha want?"

She giggled.

"Uh not yet."

You replied.

"Then can I start you off with some drinks?"

"Sure. I'll have a diet coke."

The lady took a long and hard minute to write your order down. Tonight was really going to be a long night. Especially because of her. But hey, thank god you didn't have school tomorrow. She looked over at Armin, awaiting his response. He looked up at her and realized that she wanted something from him.

"Oh, um yes?"

"Huh?"

"Armin she wants to know what you want to drink."

"Oh! Okay! I'd like a water please."

The woman scribbled down a note once more before leaving.

"Well that was painful."

You stated blandly.

"Yeah."

"Something on your mind?"

"No, not really."

"Well you seem distracted."

"I don't want to talk about it right now."

"Alright, sorry."

"Whatever, it's fine. So, do you know what you'd like to eat?"

"Uh no not yet. You?"

"I don't know? All of the items here seem like they have bigger portions than I need."

"Wanna share then?"

"I'd love to. God my appetite is horrible right now."

You laughed.

"I know it is. We can deal with that later. Let's just focus on dinner right now."
