God Present At Birth

The truth is God is present at everyone's birth. Why would the creator not be

present for the unveiling of his new creation to the world? But with my birth he made his

presence known in a special way. My mother was in the hospital waiting room about to

be moved to the delivery room. There was a woman custodial worker in the room with

her, doing her job and minding her business. After some time went by the custodial

worker walked up to my mother and said "I don't know why but for some reason every

time I walk past you, the hairs on my arm stand up." My mother just looked at her,

because she didn't know what to say. Then the lady asked my mom if she knew what

the sex of the baby was, and my mother said no, so the lady asked my mother if she

would mind if she told her, and my mother said no.

The lady told my mom that she was having a boy, that I was going to be an

anointed gift from God, and my name was going to be from the bible. The lady didn't

know that if I was a boy my mother was going to name me Matthew, nor did she know

that the name Matthew means "Gift from God". The lady then asked my mom if she

could pray for her, my mom agreed. The lady began praying and soon some nurses

came and also began praying for her. After they finished the lady looked at my mother

and said "there's just something about that baby".

I am reminded of God telling the prophet Jeremiah that before he formed him in his

mother, he knew him, and before he even came out of her womb he was ordained a

prophet to the nations. And like the prophet Jeremiah, I was chosen from the start.
