"Skylar, you could always stay with me," says Adam sympathetically.
"Thanks Adam, but I have to be with my grandma. She needs me and I need her," I said.
It had been 1 month since my dad had died. Maybe 2. I don't remember or care. All I want is him back. I am moving in with my grandma in Wisconsin in 3 days. I will miss the band, but mostly Adam.
"Beep Beep" honks my grandmas horn.
"You got everything?" Asks Adam.
"Everything but you," I whisper softly.
He leans in closer like he's about to kiss me, I lean in too. But then I back away. I can't do this now. I quickly get in the car and drive away, leaving Adam alone on the sidewalk.
