Hunger Games vs Divergent Movie Time

Ok so as you all know (well if you don't know your about to find out) I'm absolutely obsessed with theatre, I love it so much! (Not that you care)

So I think it's about time we discussed the acting between HG and Divergent.

Personally I find the acting in all three films of the Hunger Games much much better than the ones in Divergent. Don't get me wrong, Shailene Woodley is an amazing actress, (much better than me) she played Hazel beautifully in Fault in our Stars, but between Jennifer and Shailene I think Jennifer suited her character and understood her character much better than Shailene did.

I watched Insurgent over the summer, and I must say during the film I couldn't help but laugh at some parts then feel sad or scared.
Shailene is absolutely AMAZEBALLS! But during Insurgent I couldn't help but laugh.

Shailene is a small petite looking thing, in my case vey skinny, she kept fighting and taking down a bunch of these huge men throughout the film, and all I could do was laugh. I was not amazed, for it looked so fake. I felt as though one punch and Tris should've been knocked out onto the floor.
Shailene is amazing yes, but in my case she did not fit Tris. She tried to seek angry as though she were about to punch something, but too me it looked as if she were just squinting her eyes trying to block the sun or something.
She didn't fit the part as well as I think someone else could've.

Divergent on the other hand was an exception, of course throughout that movie I felt the same way, but since she had just become a member of the "dauntless clan" I was able to let all that slide. Yet now that she's been staying there for a pretty good amount of time, and has been through series of combat.

She was like a lamb, trying to act as tough and great as a lion....it just didn't fit.

Jennifer on the other hand I feel portrayed Katniss perfectly, by look, acting, understanding the character herself. I believed she was Katniss and considering I read the book way before the movie even came out of their was even a trailer I imagined what Katniss would be like. When the movie finally came out Jennifer portrayed Katniss exactly how I imagined it to be like.

Whether it was the script or not, in divergent and insurgent I felt as though some of the lines were coming off a bit too cheesy. Whether it was the actors or the scripts.

Also in insurgent, Tris's hair in the book is designed as a messy, sloppy cut, hairs all over the place. (Ok not those exact words, but it said something like that) in the movie Tris's hair was perfect. PER-FECT! Seriously? Seriously? There is not a single person I know who could actually cut their own hair with a pair of badly wrecked scissors in only a few minutes and make it turn out so neatly, not a single hair out of place. Unfortunately for me it ruined part of her looks as Tris being known as a badass. If your gonna be a badass you need not only the act but also the look.

Another point, during insurgent I felt throughout the movie that all the fighting was useless, I understand that Genine doesn't want the Divergent's, but from the way it looked in the movie everything seemed like they were fighting for absolutely no reason. And I felt as though the love between Tris and Tobias throughout the movie came at such random timings, unlike in the Hunger Games Catching Fire I felt the love between Peta and Katniss was set correctly, each moment of spark set at the perfect time.

Divergent for me was okay, had I seen better movies yes. Was it bad? No, it was enjoyable but not absolutely breathtaking.
Insurgent for me was different and some of the scenes just seemed pointless.

Hunger Games and Catching Fire for me were both amazing, all the fights had a certain meaning to them throughout the film and not once did the romantic love between Peta and Katniss seem off to me.

So I feel like this chapter has been my harshest one yet. And I feel as though Divergent fans will need to fight harder for this one to win some points.

So my little friends of the fandom world tell me what you thought while reading this.
Did you like my chapter, or did you not like it.
