The Sun

Half past the night,
Nothing has changed
Wide awake,
As memories faded
I loved this moment,
Every moment for myself
Slowly they cloud my eyes,
Loneliness surrounds and engulf
Dark clouds,
A blackout
Fears take over,
I feel so weak I can't back out.

I see you,
A vivid ray of hope
Your mere existence,
Enough to bright my world
Pity, you aren't by my side,
But to have you all along
Made it all sense,
And I...the sunshine.
