I woke up early in the morning. I decided to take a walk and grab a few things at the nearest grocery store because the cupboard and the fridge are all empty. Luckily, the kitchen utensils are complete, so I don’t have to worry about that. I got out of my apartment, good thing it’s not raining anymore. As I walked out, I notice a wallet fell off the lady’s bag.
I quickly jogged to her, “Um, excuse me?”
She quickly turned to look at me and I immediately smiled because she’s the girl I met last night in McDonalds. Brianna is her name, I think.
“Yes? May I help you?” She smiled, confused.
“You dropped your wallet.”
“Oh my gosh, thank you! You are a life saver, I don’t know how I could pay once I’m at the grocery store if you didn’t see this!” She looked at me carefully then said, “Wait, aren’t you the girl asking for the job last night?”
“Yeah,” I chuckled. “That would be me.”
“Well my name’s Brianna, what’s yours?”
“I’m Mij, nice to meet you!” I smiled.
“Oh, Mij?” she said as she furrowed her brows.
“Yeah, weird name right?”
“Yeah, a little,” she laughed. “So where are you heading?”
“Oh, I would be going to the grocery store too. I just move here so my apartment is basically empty.”
“Well then, since you saved my life, I would be willing to accompany you.”
“That would be great, I don’t know how to get there anyway.”
We chatted about how she’s working hard for college and why I moved here from across the world just to find a job. Brianna is sweet and funny, and thank God we instantly became friends.
After about half an hour, we finally got to the grocery store, and we started to go different ways, but promised to meet on the fruit aisle.
I started roaming around and looking for some cereals and milk. I don’t really like coffee. Next are frozen foods, yogurt, two tubs of ice cream, some chips, pasta noodles, and at the end I just randomly pick up things that looks edible to me. I look at my cart and saw that it is full already. I paid all of my groceries and waited for Brianna. As I was waiting for her, I remembered I should by a phone, because I definitely need one. When she came I asked her if she could help me buy a phone and she gladly accepted.
I got an Iphone, typical. After we ate lunch we decided to go home because my arms and feet are killing me. The damn grocery bags are so heavy.
For a few days, Brianna showed and helped me familiarize myself on the busy streets of London. Though we didn’t visit a few beautiful spots here, it’s fine by me. I could save that for later. I learned that she's a couple of blocks away from my apartment, which is pretty great because what I needed right now is a friend, and someone I could talk to.

A few weeks later, I found myself getting ready because my friends invited me to a club. Yes, friends. I found myself mostly hanging out with Brianna and soon after, she introduced me to her of friends. They we're all kind and funny.
They are a couple of college kids, but we're like the same age because as we all know, I graduated early in college. Not all of them are in college though, some are just young adults enjoying the night life. I don't usually go for clubs and parties like this but at least I should give it a try, I'm with my friends anyway and it's not like I didn't go to parties when I was still in college.
