"So that's what Loki meant" Natasha mumbled, remembering how Loki referred Gemini as 'the dragoness'

"Sorry I didn't tell you guys sooner" the large dragon before them smiled

"I-It's fine" Steve stuttered, amazed how a real dragon was standing in front of them

"Now, let's see what you got" Silvermist said

Gemini smirked as she flew to where Tony drew three animal-ships

"Now!" She yelled

Tony moved out of the way just in time before a large beam of fire was shot out of dragon-Gemini's opened mouth

Once the fire dispersed, it rained ashes

The Avengers gaped at the scene in front of them, completely awestruck

"At least we have the upper hand" Steve said

Then Natasha and Clint covered Steve as he ran to the police officers, followed by Silvermist

"I need men in those buildings. There are people inside that can run into the line of fire" Steve started

"Take them through the basement or through the subway. Keep them off the streets" Silvermist continued

"I need a perimeter as far back as 39th" Steve finished

"Why the hell should I take orders from you?" The sergeant said

Some Chitauri warriors attacked the captain and the fairy from behind and the police saw how he fought them with ease, ripping their arms and blocking their attacks with his shield. While it only took Silvermist little effort as she shoots balls of energy to them

"I need men in those buildings. Lead the people down and away from the streets" the sergeant relayed Steve and Silvermist's orders

Iron man was working on the animal-ship, he got it's attention

"Well we got it's attention. Now what the hell was step two?" He asked

"Strike" a voice boomed behind him

He turned and saw Azure Claw effortlessly punching the animal-ship and blew it away like it was some kind of volleyball game

"Easy for you to say" he muttered

Chitrauris kept coming, as Clint and Natasha could barely keep up

Just as more chitauri came, Steve jumped in and used his shield and pushed them away and Silvermist sent giant balls of energy to them

As more came, they were struck by lighting and blue fire. They looked up to find Thor and Gemini as they joined them

Time to regroup

"What's the story upstairs?" Steve asked Thor

"The power surrounding the cube is impenetrable" Thor replied

"Kinda like Tony's head" I muttered and Clint, being the only one who heard it, pressed his lips to a thin line to hold in his laugh

"Thor's right. We gotta deal with these guys" Tony chimed in

"How do we do this?" Silvermist asked

"As a team" Steve declared

"I have unfinished business with Loki" Thor announced

"Get in line" Clint scoffed, readying an arrow

"Save it. Loki's gonna keep this fight focused on us and that's what we need. Without him these things could run wild. We got Stark on top, he's gonna need us-" Steve stopped as a motorcycle sound was heard
