"Do I really have to go?"

"Yes Ashton! Now do me a favor and pick up the lasagna"

I did as my mom told me and we headed our way to the Maddox's house. It was a typical Sunday, eating at the Maddox's place while talking about all the great things their perfect good girl daughter did.

Mom knocked on their door, and there was Jade with a smile on her face.

"Anne! How are you?" she greeted my mom.

"I'm good, sweetheart. How about you? You look so pretty!"

"I'm fine and thank you! I can say the same about you. Come in, my parents are already waiting at the table" she said, moving to the side so we could come in.

I didn't bother saying hi, and neither did she.

We walked straight to their dinning room, where her parents sat, waiting for us. Mom sat in front of Meredith, Jade's mother, and after putting the lasagna in the table, I sat in front of her dad. She sat in the middle of me and her dad.

After a prayer we started eating. The only talking done while eating was to comment how good the food was, but after we had finished, the real conversation started.

"So Jade, how did you do in your Physics test?" her father asked her.

"Good, I got an A! The teacher said I did a splendid job!" she said while flashing her famous smile.

"That's my daughter" James her while patting his daughter in her shoulder. "What about you, Ashton, how did you do?"

"I got a D. For drummer" It was true

"Ashton Irwin! You got a D?! When were you planning on telling me?" my mother complained

"I wasn't" I answer honestly. And why would I? She know I wasn't that good at school, but she still would ask and complained when I told her about it.

"I apologize for his attitude, I don't know what's gotten into him" my mother said to Jade's parents with an apologetic look. "Sometimes I wish he could be more like your girl"

"Maybe Jade could tutor him some time"

"I would really appreciate that"

"Mom! I don't need tutoring, I'm fine on my own"

Mom was about to comment, but she was cut by Jade.

"Dad, talking about studying..." she said as she looked at her phone "I have to study for an english test, so I better get going"

"Oh, I'm sorry sweetheart, I didn't knew you had a test"

"Ashton, you have an English test?"

"Maybe"

"We should be leaving then" mom said as she stood up "Jade needs to study and Ashton does too."

After saying our goodbyes, we went home. I helped mom wash the dishes while she took a shower. I did the same after I finish with the dishes and then went into my room. Lying in bed, I grabbed my music notebook and started to think of lyrics to write. This is what I am good at, not Physics of whatever other subject they gave me at school. Music was my thing. I was in the middle of writing a sentence that came to mind when I suddenly hear the engine of  a motorcycle shut of. It was already late and it wasn't common for people to pass through our street at this our, so I went to my window to check who it was. And that's where I saw it. Jade was climbing out of her window, dressed with a really short dress that I would never think she owned. Her black wavy hair was almost invisible as it mix with the dark of the sky. As soon as she landed, she went running towards the motorcycle. A guy waited there for her, with another helmet. She gave him a pretty passionate kiss and climbed behind him, making a tight knot with her hands around his waste. And as he turned back the engine and rode away, there I stood, looking through my window,   wondering if she was as perfect good girl, like everyone thought she was.
