Little creatures,
So pure at sight,
Deformed at first,
Then beauty in flight,
But drawn on the skin,
Can mean so much more,
They can show people,
What their life was like before,
They can tell people,
The saddest story,
They can strengthen people,
Because they have been restored to glory,
They can smile to people,
Because they are strong,
They can sing to people,
The bravest song,
They can love people,
By making hate fade,
They can comfort people,
So they won't use their blade,
They can prove to people,
Life can begin,
All this with one drawing;
A butterfly on the skin.

My Poems: Butterflies Mean Recovery
PoésieMy second collection of poetry. This is about recovery, but also about my life. I'm a bit like Taylor Swift when it comes to poetry: if you hurt me, you will be written about. Cᴏᴘʏʀɪɢʜᴛ © 2013 - InkButterfly
