I couldn't help but stare, his straight, short black hair glistened in the sun and his shirt was gone. He looked like 17 give or take. I licked my lips as he ran out of view. He must have been the new guy everyone (the girls) were talking about around here. I then mentally praised my mother, I for once was happy she was kinda nosy, I knew my mom would go over to his house for dinner soon because that's just how she is, she will meet someone and become such good friends with them in about one hour. Then she'll invite them to our home. I couldn't wait, I did a little happy dance while sitting down and almost fell off the roof. "Aahhhh," I screeched. Since I had almost died twice on this roof today I climbed down, slowly and carefully. I looked at my watch again, it was 8:24am. I had at most an hour to do what I want. I was wrong in exactly seven minutes Morgan and Gwen had arrived, all packed and ready to go. We chilled in the lounge for a while and I made omelets for them, they had to leave at seven since I lived on the coast and they lived in the city, not to mention the traffic, everyone wants to go to the beach in summer. Eventually it was nine-thirty and they wanted to leave, so we all piled into my mom's burgundy Jeep. She let me drive and promised my a car next year, I smiled at the thought of having my own car. We hopped out of her car and set off to find registration it was easy to locate, a black cabin with a pink sign that says registration is hard to miss on the white shores. We stood in a queue and waited to register, it seemed it was only girls doing the camp and they all wanted to talk to the guy registering us for some reason. Eventually it was Gwen's turn to register and I was right behind her she was giggling at something and eventually turned around and made enlarged eyes at me. I laughed at her and stepped forward. It was the guy from earlier he smiled a smile showing his perfectly straight and dazzlingly white teeth, I had no idea where to look, his prominent arm veins? His dazzling teeth? His shirtlesness? I stood dazed for a moment, taking him in. "Name?" His voice was husky and low.
"Savannah." I whispered. He typed something into a laptop before speaking again. It made beeped "My name's Damion and apparently you're with group B, I will be you're instructor along with your cabin/roommates and you're cabin is number 12," he handed me a key. "You have requested for your roommates to be Gwen and Morgan, is this correct?" I just nodded as he smiled at me, handing me a schedule. I smiled back and left the counter, dragging my wheelie suitcase behind me. I got to cabin 12 where Gwen and Morgan were unpacking and in a heated discussion about who was hotter, Kevin or Damion. I voted Damion and unpacked my things into a small nightstand next to my bed. I shoved my suitcase under my bed and opened up my schedule, it had a bunch of dates and times and words like training and swimming and lots of other words to do with surfing the two main things I took in were a picture of Damion smiling, underneath it it read, "Surfing Counselor B, Damion Grove" the second thing I notice was that we had today off.
We went for a swim and Gwen got a different surfing instructor's number "Now we just need to find a guy for you, Sav." said Gwen. I rolled my eyes and lay back, I was wearing a strapless bikini top and bottom. I packed in case we got to go swimming casually, everyone except myself, Morgan and Gwen was wearing a wetsuit. suddenly a wave splashed over me, I resurfaced quickly but my bikini top didn't. "Shit!" I called over Morgan and Gwen to help me look for it, unfortunately we couldn't find it and more unfortunately Damion saw us panicking and came over, even more unfortunately, the water was exceptionally clear and the cherry on top, "Hey Damion," said Gwen, "Savannah lost her bikini top, can you help us find it?" I was blushing profusely and Damion was suppressing a smile, sure. We all looked but couldn't find it, eventually we gave up and I just crossed my arms over my chest and ran to my cabin, Damion called after me and I stopped. I turned around and he was right there. "There was a typo, tomorrow the lessons start at 9, not 8," he whispered. He then smiled and said, "now you know why we surf in wet suits." He turned around and went into his cabin. I was blushing again as I headed into the cabin. Morgan and Gwen were giggling and drying themselves off. "What's funny?" I asked. Morgan looked at Gwen and Gwen gave a little nod. Morgan then revealed from inside her bather, my bikini top! I gasped , "why!?" I asked/screeched, "that was so embarrising!" I swatted Morgan's arm. she gave my bather back and mimicked in a deep voice, "now you know why we surf in wet suits." Then Gwen joined in, "I told you we needed to get you a guy." I wasn't in the mood to be mad so I just sighed and rolled my eyes at them, "you guys suck so hard."
