Meet My Teachers

Me and Salem walked into the school, still laughing about his earlier comment. We had Brewing Class with Mr.Wart first period, so that's where we went. We walked down the hall and got our stuff from our chambers (witch lockers).

"I hate Mr.Wart's class," I say to Salem, "He's SOO boring, plus he never gives us any time to think about what we're doing! It's all just 'Do this, you have 15 minutes' with him. Not that I like school, but it would be nice to learn something for once."

"Tell me about it. The other day, he put a spell lock on me for asking Mystery a question. I didn't even know what we were doing because I came in late. He wouldn't explain it to me. Said it was a waste of time. 'Don't wanna slow down the rest of the class because your being irresponsible' he said to me. The nerve!"

Mystery was alonther one of my friends. She is super nice and really pretty. She's smart too. She's the total package. Salem has had a crush on her for a while, but he's to much of a chicken to ask her out. But I usually don't bring it up anymore.

"My powers are useless until the end of this week. Mr. Storm is gonna be pissed." Mr. Storm was our spell teacher. He's pretty chill most of the time, but when it comes to spells, well let's just say he loves them so much, I wouldn't be suprised if he married one.

"Man, that bites," I state.

AS WE ENTERED MR.WARTS CLASS, I saw Mystery and took my seat next to her. Salem sits on her other side. We chatted for a bit about my progress with my powers. I have to be the best witch if I want to take my fathers place as Coven leader.

"I'm doing pretty well. I've been taking lesson's with Mrs. Wick. She's a really good tutor." I started taking lesson's with Mrs.Wick about a week ago because my father wanted me to have some private lessons so I would improve on my casting (performing spells).

"That's sick! I hear she would have been the Coven leader of her old Coven! She's super powerful." Salem continues.

"Yeah. I just hope the Darkness doesn't take control of her too, or me." I say, a little weary.

WHEN IT WAS TIME TO GO HOME, I walked to the back forest for my after school lesson with Mrs.Wick. She had us meet here because a witch has the most power when she is surounded by nature. Nature is like a witch's WiFi. It helps to be able to connect to a witches inner self, or something like that.

" Focus!" Mrs.Wick yelled at me.

"You have to focus in order for the spell to work! Now try it again!" She commanded.

I closed my eyes, as I was taught. I focused all my energy on the daisy in front of me. My job was to wilt the daisy. Pretty basic stuff, but not for me. I said the words, not sure what they mean because their in Latin.

"Spiritus naturae opem petimus. Adiuva me. Accipe meum potestatibus, et eis uti ad hoc vis perfecte primula floruit. Injiciunt hanc potestatem in dígitos meos. Constitues eos facere officium. Adiuva me!

I focused my entire inner being on this small task. I opened my soul to let the powers flow. I raised my right hand, fingers spread apart. I held my hand over the daisy. I slowly closed my palm. I felt the daisies aura becoming weak. I opened my eyes. It was gone.

"Did I do something wrong?" I asked Mrs.Wick

"Quite the oposite, my child. You have made it dust. Wilted it to it's max. It is done."

I still didn't know what I did, but nonetheless, I was proud. I'm sure she was too. I have never been able to do this before. Why now? Was it just luck? Or did the fact that it was my birthday have something to do with it?

"I knew it. . ." Mrs.Wick started.

"Knew what?"I asked, curiously.

"Well it is said that on a witches birthday their immence power is brought to light. They get a glimps of their full powers. And you have never been able to do that spell before, and now you disintigrate the daisy. That has only happened during the time of your grandmother."

" My 9th generation grand mother?" I ask, even more intrigued.

"Yes. You are truly her granddaughter."

"Then we better get to work."
