Violet
"Ouch, okay, that hurt," I said as I hit my foot on the sidewalk. "Violet, don't be hurting yourself," Gerard replied as he looked over at me and smiled. Butterflies shot through my stomach as I looked back and playfully shoved him away. Me and Gerard were walking around the park, just being goofballs as usual. "Dang it Gee, you're getting in my bubble....not cool man, not cool," I laughed as I almost slipped on the sidewalk. Right after I said that, my phone rang and music started playing. The song was I'll Be There, the ringtone for my mom. "Gee, shush, Mom's calling." "Yeah, Mom?" I said. After a few minutes of talking, I was like "Hey Mom, are we still gonna do Warped Tour? The tickets came in today,". After a second, I heard her say "No, sweetie, we can't...I'm sorry baby girl...". "Oh...okay...I'll be home soon," I replied as I felt my heart sink. "Hey, Violet, are you okay?" I heard Gerard ask as I hung up the phone. It was so hard to look into his sparkling gray eyes and lie, but I had to. "Yeah...I'm fine Gee...I'll see you tomorrow,". "Yeah, okay, see ya, Vi,". Right after he said that, he hugged me. It felt shockingly nice, and he smelled really good. I wanted to stay there forever, but I had to leave, so I reluctantly headed home. Whenever I walked in the door and fed the cat, my phone rang. I looked at the caller I.D, and surprise, surprise, it's Gee! "Yessssss?' I asked playfully as soon as I answered. "Hey, Vi, do you want to hang out near the brige tonight?" he asked. I suddenly got happy at the thought of hanging out with him, so hopefully I didn't sound too excited. "Yeah, sure, see ya there!" I said as I hung up. 'Alrightie, better find something that he'll like. Wait, why the fuck am I trying to impress him? He's just my friend.' I thought as I set my phone on my Happy playlist. Ah, London in Terror is playing...perfect. I put on my Motionless In White shirt and glanced in the mirror. "Holy shit, I look awful." I said as I ran a brush through my hair. I really don't do anything fancy with my makeup, I just do eyeliner and mascara. Now for the shoes...hmm, I'll do combat boots I guess. I checked my phone, and apparently it is the Fourth of July...eh, I don't dress for the occasion anyway, and if people have a problem with it, oh well. Just as I tied my laces and stood up, my phone beeped. 'Hey,Vi, do you want to watch the fireworks tonight?" The text read. 'Sure, let's just meet by the bridge.' I typed back as I grabbed my bag off my bed. Not a minute later, I got a reply. 'Could we walk there together? I'll be at your house in 5 or 10 minutes.' 'Okay, I'll be waiting." I replied as I sat down. I didn't have to wait long, though. After about 5 minutes, I saw Gee's face at the door. Awh, he looks so cute. Wait, what the hell am I thinking? Anyway, I ran outside and hugged him. "What's up, ass with the sass??" I said and then laughed. "Hey Vi!" He replied as he hugged back, making me blush slightly as I pushed away. "Violet, are you sure you're okay? You seem...off, I guess." I glanced up to see him looking at me carefully, concern in his eyes. "Yeah, I'm fine. Just a little tired." I replied. After walking in silence for a few minutes, I heard someone say "Gerard! Gerard!" I looked over, seeing my best friend Frank waving his hand in Gerard's face, trying to get his attention. "Hey Frankie!" I said, happy to see him. "Hey Vi!" Frank replied, pulling me into a hug. "Gee, you okay? I asked as I hugged Frank back and removed myself from him. "Huh? Yeah, I'm fine." Gee replied, his eyes on Frank.
'Okay, that was weird.' I thought to myself. It's like Frank knew that Gee and I were hanging out. Also, whenever Frank hugged me, Gerard looked kinda mad. I wonder why...oh,well. It was kinda like whenever Gee and I were on our way here and I felt someone looking at me. Oddly enough, whenever I glanced over, it was Gee that was looking. He was smiling, and there was a look in his eyes that I couldn't quite pin down. Next thing I knew, I was falling off the edge of the sidewalk. Luckily, Gee caught me before I hit the ground. Serves me right for being lost in my thoughts. Anyway, Gerard must be wearing cologne or something, because he smelled nice, and I mean like REALLY nice. "Oh, yay, the fireworks are gonna start soon!" I exclaimed happily as the sky started growing darker.
