One day Shrek decided to leave his swamp to go and visit Donkey and his family. He walked down the stone path singing his happy travel song. "Ogres ogres green swampy and mean!" Over and over until he got to Donkey's cottage. "Donkey! Donkey!" He said. "Where are ya Donkey!" Shrek walks into Donkey's cottage. As he walks through the door he notices that all of Donkeys stuff is gone. All the furniture and pictures on the walls were no where to be found. Suddenly he heard a noise coming from the next room. It was a sort of creaking coming from the empty house. Shrek was terrified. All alone with no one to hear him scream. He walked over to the room sweat fall from his forehead and the creaking noise becoming louder and louder. He turned the corner and he saw the door open. "Hello!!" He screamed. "Who's in there!?" No response. Shrek walks closer until he was almost opening the door. The noise was now louder and faster. Shrek opened the door and felt someone's presence. He walked farther into the room. The presence not making itself visible to him. He sees an old rocking chair in the distance creaking faster and faster. It starts spinning around with no one guiding it. It's spinning and rocking faster in this old dark cabin. Shrek doesn't know what to think. He takes a step towards it and something jumps at him and latches on with all the strength it has. Shrek tumbles to the ground and the hard broken tiles seem to crumble beneath him. He feels the beast on him. Grabbing him with sharp claws and pushing him as far down as it can. Shrek waits to gain his strength once again. He gets up and tries to look at what's taken him down. He sees nothing, but feels the presence on him. "Get off me!!" He screams. He hears a whisper saying, "This is my swamp now." And by that point Shrek was done with this nasty beast. He gets up and screams at the top of his lungs, "This is my swamp!! What are you doing in my swamp!!" And throws the beast off him. He runs outside the house and lights a torch on fire. He takes the torch and flings it onto Donkeys cabin setting it a flame. The cabin was down to ashes in less than an hour and then Shrek was on his way. Back to his swamp.
Moral of the Story:
Never go into an abandoned place with out a reliable friend, always check your house for spirits before first moving in, and never ever buy an old rocking chair from a dead person!
