I woke up with an impending headache this morning and the kids weren't making it any better. I'm seated infront of Amethyst and Zachary watching them eat their breakfast.
"Mother!" Zachary said - no scratch that- screeched. Making my brain have a back flip in slow motion.
"Yes honey?" I say giving him a smile.
"Amethyst keeps eating off my plate!" Ugh, not this again. Amethyst has this problem with eating off her own plate and sometimes I don't know if I should be scared or creeped out.
My head ache wasn't letting me think properly. So what I said next was really unlike me.
"Then eat off her plate and leave me the fuck alone!" My eyes grew so wide they looked like they were going to shoot right out of it's socket and hit Amethyst in the mouth - which were wide open showing me the residue of her Nutella covered toast and eggs- before bouncing right back into my socket.
"Mother. are you feeling alright?" No. Do I look alright? At least I wish I could say that but my head wasn't thinking straight at the moment.
"Yes honey, I'm perfectly fine. I've just got this killer headache." Zachary gave me a little smile, sensing I needed some space.
" Oi. Wanna go play train wreck with me?" Amethyst nodded her head with a huge grin on her face. I could tell Amethyst loved Zachary a lot.
Zachary grabbed the plates and dropped them in the sink. Taking his sisters hands and taking her out of the kitchen with him.
I couldn't help but smile. Zachary was like a father to Amethyst and I, it's kinda weird saying my son was more like a father figure than a son. If I told any one that; they'll properly think I've got a loose screw in my head.
DING.DONG.
Who could that be? I walked towards the door, looking through the peephole to make sure it wasn't some crazy deranged lunatic who wanted to steal my husband's fortune and life by seducing me and winning my kids over- clearly we can see I watch a lot of soap operas.
But it was only Theo. Theodore Ross is a prestigious gentle man who met my husband over at one of their sales deport at Nottingham. He's tall with this boyish look, his hair was always in a state, and my those sideburns, they were thick and long. He's a red head making him look quite irresponsible, but don't be fooled by his red hair, pale blue eyes and boyish charms because he's quite a bussiness devil himself.
"To whom do I give the honor of having you here?" I always teased him because of his posh British accent. He's a brit who was raised within the doors of gold and diamonds, never knowing the real world for itself until he clocked twenty.
"Ha ha ha. You laugh now but do remember that I have the fair advantage in games like this." He says flashing me that boyish mouth watering smile of his.
I closed the door taking his coat and umbrella from him. As he took off his coat you could see his muscles bulging out of his suit.
"So where are the kids?" He was always fond of the kids, I think it's because they think so much alike." They went up to the game room to play train wreck."
He sat on the island right where Zachary was seated before looking at me with a bright smile. I grabbed two mugs and filled it up with green tea and a spoon of honey.
Handing him a mug I sat on the seat opposite him.
"So go on then. Why are you hear, because I know that you are aware of my husband's absence recently." I said taking a sip from my mug.
