I Don't Know
Chapter 9
Jesse's POV
I honestly can't believe what just happened. Beca wasn't even sure whether or not she still wanted to be with me. I mean part of it is my fault, but she's also at blame too. She pushed me over the edge. She drove me mad. She made feel as if I don't have enough worth in her life. That kills me more than anything.
I love Beca so much, but if she's going to keep pushing me over the edge, then I'm going to have to break up with her. It's so hard to keep on holding on. The scary thing is I don't know how much fight I have left in me. Arguing with Beca everyday is exhausting. What little energy I've had lately is being sucked right out of me.
I thought Beca and I were endgame. We've been dating for nearly 7 seven years now. I was even going to purpose to her on this trip. I had it all planned out. It was going to be on the top floor of the Willis Tower overlooking the Chicago night skyline. There was going to a string quartet playing in the background as I got down on one knee and told her my feelings from the heart. Now, I don't know if I'll get that chance....
