Farewell

I close my eyes tightly as I watch you walk away

I can still feel the sincerity of your hug as you said goodbye

I feel the tears roll down my face

I wipe them away as I watch you disappear from sight.

I turn around and walk towards the opposite direction

This time I let the tears fall down my face freely.

Silent sobs turn into loud cries;

The tough girl breaks all of her walls.

Footsteps come padding towards me

I feel his warm embrace once again,

The hug full of sincerity and love

As we stand there we pour our hearts out one last time,

Before he bids his final goodbye.
