Stephanie POV

I woke up and saw that I had a text from Josh it read:

J - Hey Stephanie, I was wondering if you would like to go out to dinner with me and Tyler later?

S - I would love to. What should I wear? Where and at what time should I meet you two?

J - Casual outfit. Meet us at the Queens Crown restaurant in town at 7:00. Do you know where I mean?

S - Yeah I know where you mean. I'm gonna get ready now. See you guys soon.

J - Okay. Bye. See you later :)

I walked upstairs and saw that my Dad was still asleep.

"I love you dad." I whispered before I decided to leave him sleep for a little while longer.

I found a white t-shirt and a black pair of skinny jeans and my black converse.

I put my clothes on and picked up my phone and keys and money and placed into the back pockets of jeans.

I walked to the restaurant and saw that they hadn't arrived yet but I still grabbed a table for us.

"Are you waiting for anyone else?" A waitress asked me.

"Yes, I'm waiting for two other people." I told her.

It was about half an hour later and they still hadn't arrived.

Had I been stood up?

Of course you have. Who would want to meet up with you, the worthless freak.

The voices then returned to the back of my mind leaving me to wonder if I had been stood up.

"Miss are you going to order yet or not?" The waitress asked me.

"I'll wait for a few more minutes, then if my friends haven't arrived then I'll probably just leave." I told the waitress who walked away, but not before giving me a look as if to they are not coming.

I began to think about leaving when suddenly two people came running in. It was Tyler and Josh.

"Sorry about being late. There was loads of traffic and then we had to park kind of far away." Josh explained looking worried and nervous.

"It's okay." I told him and as soon as I said that he began to ease up and he was less tense.

"Oh my gosh, what happened to your hands Stephanie?" Tyler asked me looking really worried and shocked.

Great now you've made him worry, I don't know why he would worry about something so worthless.

The voice once again faded away leaving me alone with all my thoughts.

Should I tell them the truth? No, I might lose them as friends and I'm not willing to risk that possibility.

"Me being clumsy dropped a glass on the floor and then I decided to clean it up forgetting that glass is sharp. It looks worse than it actually is." I lied.

The waitress came over and said

"So they finally arrived then!"

"Yeah." I told her.

"Wait, how long were you waiting for us?" Josh asked me.

"About half an hour." I muttered.

"Oh gosh, we are sorry." Tyler appologised on behalf of him and Josh.

"It's fine, honestly." I assured them.
