Count Me In

"MaCk?!" I hear a voice behind me. I turn.

"Dylan, Oh God Dylan." my voice broke

"Put the gun down now" he said with a sound of fury in his voice. I looked in horror at the gun in my hand realizing what this must look like to him. I Dropped the gun.

"Dylan, it wasn't me."

"Yeah that is what you would say isn't it?"

"Dylan listen to me. I know your emotional but I swear okay, I didn't kill no, MURDER Liam"

" What was this your, I don't know you initiation?"

"No it was Michael I swear!"

"Seriously MaCkenzie?!?! Your gonna do this when all the evidence points to you?"

"You really think I would join them?!?!" I said raising my voice

"When did you volunteer? When you were being "Tortured"? Do you know what I can't believe you?"

"You need to listen to me!"

"NO!"

"Then what are you gonna do huh?"

"I'm breaking out of this Hell hole and getting as far away from any monster like you!"

"They'll kill you."

"Better than having you kill me or even worse being stuck with you!"

"Dylan, Please don't leave I need you to believe me!"

"Quit lying it's not gonna work." He looked at me and I saw only hate in his eyes. I could literally feel my heart tearing apart.

"Okay, fine go but know I won't ever see or make contact with you again. I will die down here."

"Okay fine by me, Go to Hell MaCkenzie" and with that he ran. I dropped to my knees and broke. They had finally done it. I had finally given into the fear pain and mostly Hate. I hated Dylan and everyone that had ever treated me like that.

"Well what a sad good-bye. My sincerest apology." I turned to face Michael

"Now for the big question will you comply and join my team?"

"Count me in." I said with everything I had in me.

"Very good now follow me. Let's get you cleaned up and I'll get you anything you want. I'm very pleased to have you on our team." He turned and I followed him with a surprising sense of relief spreading through me.

"Just do one thing for me." I said

"Anything."

"Let Dylan live." I shocked myself by saying.

"As you wish." And with that I turned away from Liam and walked out the door.
