I woke up today at 6 am because of a text message from Tom that read

Good morning blondie. Hope you have a good training today. Can we meet for some dinner later? Wear something extra nice. xx Tom

I replied with

Morning dimples. Thanks, you too! And yes of course. What's the occasion, and how nice?

Look outside your door, and find out. xx

I got up and opened the door and found a dress bag laying on the ground. I brought it back inside and laid it on the bed

"Whats that?"

"I have no clue. Tom sent it."

I opened the bag and there was a beautiful coral dress with the back cut out of it and nude pumps in it. I smiled and came back to reality when I knew that I had to focus on gymnastics and the Olympics and nothing else. I grabbed my shower stuff and headed to down the hall to the bathroom, and with my luck I bumped into Tom.

"Hey there"

"Do you ever wear clothes dimples?"

"No, not really."

"Listen dimples,"

"Uh oh, this shouldn't be good."

"Um, after tonight I don't think we should hangout until after the Olympics, it's just that I've come so close to making my dream come true and"

"Don't worry about it blondie, I understand.'

"You do?"

"Of course, it's your dream were talking about. I've waited two years to meet you again, and ill wait another twenty if I have to."

"Thank you." I kissed him on the cheek and kept making my way to the showers.

After I showered I went back to the dorm to get ready and head over to the gymnastics hall with Aly for our first day of training. I dried my hair and put it in a ponytail and grabbed my lucky Leo to wear. It was a red Leo from Shawn Johnson's GK collection. When we were both done we headed over to begin our day.

After we stretched and warmed up I went to go work on my round-off, half-on, front straight salto with full twist on the vault which was my most inconsistent apparatus at the moment. After my landing because more consistent, I decided to head over towards the uneven bars to start working on a new routine.

I mounted with a straddle vault with hand repulsion to high bar, swung around and did a backward giant with half turn to L- grip, Stalder backwards with half turn to regular grip, straddled Tkatchev, Stalder backwards with full turn, pike sole circle with full turn , swing backwards with half turn and straddle flight over high bar, Pak with full turn on low bar, Weiler kip with half turn to regular grip, pike Stalder release with counter movement to high bar, and dismounted with a double salto backwards tucked with double twist.

After getting my bar routine consistent a few time my coach was content and let me go work on my beam routine. Which was my absolute favorite. I decided I needed to change it up a little bit. I mounted with a roundoff, back layout salto with full turn, did my little dance, followed by a backhand spring step-out with the support of one arm, turned did a free aerial walkover forward to one foot, did a front tuck salto with take off from two feet immediately after, did my famous illusion turn thats in every routine, I did a split leap with full turn, followed by a switch split leap with half turn, and dismounted with a double tuck back salto with full twist. This apparatus only took me one time to perfect. Which was good timing because training was about to be over. When I was leaving I saw the Chinese team start to come in and snuck to a hiding place with Aly to watch them.

One of the young girls that started on the vault did a round-off, half-on, front pike salto with 1½ twist. Which was a 6.10 degree of difficulty, which also meant if I wanted to win I would need to step it up and do a round-off, half-on, front straight salto with 1½ twist, instead of just one full twist. I looked at the clock and reallized it was almost time for me to meet Tom for this dinner. I ran out with Aly and went to go shower right when we got back. I ran and got ready, thankfully I was ready just in time. I heard a knock on the door right after I finished putting my heels on.

"You look so pretty Mattie." Aly as I was walking to the door

"Aw Thanks." I opened the door and saw Tom standing behind a large bear and roses. I couldn't help but laugh when I saw that. I took the stuff and put them inside.

"You look gorgeous Mattie."

"You don't look so bad yourself Tom."

"Hey uh Aly can you take a picture of us please." He said holding his phone out in her direction

"Yeah sure"

I stood next to him put one arm around him and one hand on his chest. He wrapped his arm around my waist and we smiled. She took the picture and handed the phone back to Tom.

"Perfect thanks, you ready?"

I nodded my head and he led me out the door.
