Sorry

Sinbad, his djinn and Judal walked down the hallway. The king really didn't see Judal as much of a threat at the moment so maybe keeping her around wouldn't be that bad (at least he hoped not).

Sinbad turned his attention back to the magi.

"Wow, she really seems upset after that laughing bit I had...I didn't think she would be...I mean, why would she care? Maybe because I was rejecting her idea to become my queen? But I mean, come on. Everyone knows that I never plan on getting married, so even if I'm a king she should've taken that one note into account too...Oh well, maybe she'll leave soon enough. I just have to wait until then..."

As the party of six reached Sinbad's chambers, the king stopped and looked back at Judal who had stopped a few feet away from the door.

"Are you just going to stand there?"

There was a short silence between the two.

"Well what else can I do? I mean, you're just going to throw another laughing fit if I bring anything up so why should I come with you? Honestly I think it would just be better for me to stay out here, or possibly even leave."

Sinbad couldn't help but allow a slight smirk to tug at the corners if his lips, but he immediately stopped when he realized just how hurt Judal really was, even though she wasn't exactly trying to show it.

The king swallowed a small lump that had just formed in his throat and then looked back at the magi for a second before deciding to speak. "...Sorry..."

The magi's eyes lit up at the sound of the word. Judal turned her head slightly to look at Sinbad, the king giving her a sympathetic smile before walking into his study.

As the door closed behind Sinbad, Judal waited a few moments before deciding to leave by heading out the window, ending up ignoring the fact that the party of djinn from before had already scattered across the palace, but then again, it's not like that really mattered anyways.

"...'Sorry'...I don't know whether I should feel better or just more disappointed because my pride just blew up in my face..."
