Brantley's POV
I was eating breakfast, sitting at the island in the kitchen when Jessie swung by me. She swung her little ass to the stove and fixed her a plate then grabbed a cup of coffee. I sat back, watching the way the soft leather of her shorts hugged her ass. She had on a little pink tshirt, that didn't quite reach the waistband of her shorts, and a pair of bright yellow heels. "Mornin pretty girl." I rumbled. "Morning babe." She smiled back at me. She grabbed her breakfast and swung around the island, taking the seat next to me. Glancing at her shirt, I snorted. In big yellow letters, "Daddy" was printed across her chest. I shook my head and kissed her quickly. She grinned cheekily, curling her legs up onto the barstool with her. "Hey Boss!" I heard. I looked back to see Jed, one of my MC buddies walk in. "What's going on brother? Breakfast?" I nodded at the stove. He nodded and went to fix a plate, but Jessie stopped him. "Sit, I got it. Juice or coffee?" She smiled. "Coffee if you've got it." He said, watching her. She fixed his plate and set it in front of him with silverware and coffee before sitting back down herself. He nodded at me. "Quite a woman you got there. My Ol lady would just tell me to fix my own damn plate and leave her alone." He snorted. Jessie grinned. I chuckled. Sylo came bounding in, ignoring everything and everyone, and heading straight for Jessie. In these last few months, he's grown a lot. So much, that Jessie couldn't pick him up anymore. The dog was huge. He woofed loudly when she stood to pet him. "Sy no!" I growled trying to get him to stop. It was too late, Sy stood on his hind legs and planted his paws on her stomach. His weight sending Jessie flailing backwards. "Catch her!" I yelled. Jed stood quickly and caught Jessie before she hit the floor, he was closer to her than I was. She steadied herself and thanked him. Sy looked apologetic. He was still learning his size. She stooped down to love on him. "It's ok baby boy, I know you just want some love." She smiled and kissed his nose. I walked around to pet him. "It's alright buddy, I know you're still growing into yourself. But mamma's little, alright? You're bigger than her now." I pat his back. Jessie grimaced at the muddy paw prints all over her her shirt and arms. "I'll be right back." She chuckled and head to change her shirt. A damn shame really, I really liked that shirt. When she came back down, Jed had ready left and we were getting ready to head to an interview we had.
At the interview:
"So Jessie, we've noticed that when you and Brantley are in public, you tend to walk behind him. Females usually walk in front of their partner, is there a reason you stay behind Brantley?" One of the interviewers asked. There was a guy and a girl. The girl popped up then, "yeah, I don't think I could lower myself to walking behind a man like I was his property." I didn't like her. She was condescending, and snobby, and she was giving Jessie a dirty look. At her comment, Jessie tensed and looked at her fiercely. "Well... I always walk three steps behind him, to his left. Anything that comes toward him from behind, I encounter first. I can clearly see anything that advances to his right or his left. I also have my sights on what approaches ahead. If I stand beside my King, I can only focus on what's ahead, and if he swings his sword, I will surely be struck. Three steps behind is the most powerful position for a Queen. A fellow Queen would understand that to belong to your man, truly belong, in every sense of the word, is the greatest respect a woman can be given." Jessie told the woman confidently. That's my girl. She held her head high, and spoke surely. I was damn impressed. The woman didn't have a comeback for that, she was well and truly put in her place. The guy turned to me then. "Brantley, what's your secret man? How do you keep a woman like Jessie happy? What's your advice to men?" He asked me. I thought about the question before I answered. "You tell her. You tell her why she's perfect. You pick her up, and tickle her until she can barely breathe. She'll scream and fight you, but secretly she'll love it. Protect her. Hold her hand when you talk to her. Look at her like she's the only woman you ever want to be with. When she least expects it, pull her close and kiss her hard. Tell her she's beautiful. Get her mad, then kiss her until she smiles. Let her fall asleep in your arms. Call her. Give her piggy-back rides. Kiss her forehead. Be slow. Don't push anything. Make her feel loved, cherished. Kiss her in the rain. And when you fall in love with her, tell her." I said, Jessie grinned big next to me. I pulled her close and kissed her temple.
