Avery woke up to the bright light of the sun in L.A. She could feel thin arms around her, she moved them slowly and got out of bed. She looked to see her mother was still asleep. I grabbed my phone of the bedside table and looked to see I had a missed call. It was off a unknown number. Wonder who it could be? My adoptive parents? Only one way to find out. I walked down stairs and sat on the couch. I called the number.
Ring, Ring, Ring!
"Hello?" A voice answered, it wasn't my adoptive parents but I recongised the voice. It was girl, I know that much.
"Hi, you rang me earlier." I say.
"Oh yeah! It's Emma! You know the one from the homeless place." She says cheery. Emma! How did she get my number? But who cares about that.
"How'd you get my number?" I ask. Sorry I had to ask.
"The main guy from the homeless place, gave it to me. Did you find your parents?"
"Yeah! I'm with them now and if I tell you who they are, promise me you wont tell anyone."
"Promise."
"Jennifer Aniston and Leonardo DiCaprio." I listen to her reaction and here a slight sequel.
"Really?"
For some reason I nod and say, "Yep."
"That's awesome. I promise I wont tell no one, no one at all."
"Thanks. How's your dad?"
"He's great. I wanted to thank you for helping me find him."
"No bother. I wanted to thank you for talking to me and making me feel a bit better."
"No probs. I've got to go, talk another time."
"Bye."
I hung up with a smile on my face. I never though I would talk to her again. Ever, ever again. I thought she was going to be the girl, I met once and would eventually forget but I had her number now and we could keep in touch.
"You're up early." My mom says walking into the living room and sitting next to me on the couch.
"I always get up at this time. Had to be to do all the chores." I sigh thinking back on it.
"I'm sorry but you don't have to get up at that time anymore. Unless, it's a school day." She says.
"I have to go to school?"I asked. I never thought I would have to go to school.
"Yes but it's a school full of other celebrity kids, you'll be fine. I promise and I just wanted to prepare you for when the world finds out about you. It will be a bit crazy at first but I promise you it will get better. You don't have to be worried about 'fake friends' because they will be in the same position." She tells me. I nod.
Daddy talk:
"So seen as I was crazy yesterday, I thought I would get to know you now." My dad says.
"It's okay. What do you want to know?" I ask. I wasn't sure what he wanted to know.
"Anything and Everything." He replies.
"Well, I guess mom told you a lot already. I love acting so much. I'm very opinionated and passionate about things but my real love is acting. I was born on 28th January 1998. Not much to say really." I tell him.
