Rihanna's POV
I stood in front of one of the many shelves placed around the store and occupied my time by folding some messed up shirts. I only have a few more minutes before I get to leave, and then I get to go home and get ready for my date with Marshall.. It still feels weird thinking about it. Like something in me is trying to tell me it's a bad idea to get involved while at the same time whenever I think about it I get all happy and start smiling for no reason.
"What you doin' over here girl?" Andy asks bringing over another pile of fresh tshirts that we both began to sort through.
"Working unlike you." I say raising my eyebrows at him.
"Hey woah I am working." He says and tosses a shirt on the shelf lazily making it unfold. I roll my eyes and fix it before placing it in its right place.
"Yeah talking to an old high school friend for an hour is totally working." I argue taking a look at the time. I only have ten more minutes before my shift ends.
"So what did you and Marshall do when Ivy and I left last night?" Andy nudges me with his arm and gives me a wink like he expected us to have done something dirty.
"We just talked you dick." I hit his arm getting flustered about the thought of doing anything even slightly sexual with Marshall... I mean we are going on a date later.. What if he gets all touchy like he did that one time when I stayed the night? What if he tries to kiss me?.. My stomach flipped and the excited feeling turned into nervousness.
"BORING!" Andy yells and I cover his mouth with my hand to silence him before looking around to see if the manager noticed.
"don't do that." I yell-whisper at him and take my hand off his mouth and wipe it on my jeans.
"You guys LIKE each other it's SO obvious!" Andy says throwing his arms around as if it proved his point even more.
"He asked me out.." I say knowing it's what Andy wants to hear and laugh when his mouth fell open.
"Marshall did? Like Marshall Mathers? THE MOST antisocial guy in the world asked YOU out?!" Andy asks not believing me for a second.
"Yeah.. Is that a problem?"
"No it's not I just can't believe he did it.. Don't take this the wrong way but I didn't think he liked girls like you.."
"What do you mean 'girls like me'?" I fold my arms across my chest feeling a little offended by what he said.. Like is Marshall not into black girls or something? No that doesn't make sense, why would he ask me out then?
"Ya know! All innocent and talkative and fun... Ya know all the stuff he's not.." Andy says trying to fix what he said before so it wouldn't sound as offensive.
"I'm not that innocent..." I say sheepishly mentally hating myself for always following the rules.
"Okay have you ever stole something?" Andy tests.
"No.."
"Do illegal drugs?"
"No.."
"Have you ever even pretended to be sick so you can skip school?"
"Well.. No.." I say now realizing that I am way to innocent. I just never felt right doing stuff I wasn't supposed to.. I never understood the thrill.
"Does Marshall do all that stuff?" I ask now second guessing my feelings towards him. I knew I should have listened to my gut.. I know he's bad news but I just don't care..
