Anna's P.O.V.

I cantered Spring down the middle of the arena, pointing her nose towards the combination.

I could feel the energy pounding through Spring's veigns as she cantered towards it. Her hooves struck the ground in an elegant sort of way. Her head bobbed in tiny bits as we came closer.

A few feet away from the jump, I grabbed hold of some mane and raised out of the saddle.

Spring flew over the jump. Her dark brown head was tossed into the air. Her short mane flapped over her neck.

She soared over. I could nearly feel her adrenaline pouding through her veigns.

Spring flew over the jump so quick, I barely had time to sit back down and then up for the next jump that she almost literally flew across too.

"Wow." Was all that Kaci could say as Spring hit the ground and jumped up to the third jump.

We crossed the grid, and then cantered smoothly out. I was shocked just as much as Kaci, who was standing with her mouth agape.

"E-excellent!" Kaci stuttered in shock. I pat Spring's neck and she flicked her head up and down in a small "your welcome,"

I walked Spring around, cooling her off after we had gone over a vertical and two oxers.

"I think thats a wrap. You did amazing, Anna." Kaci said as she helped me down off of Spring and pulled up my stirrups.

"Thanks. I was shocked at that first grid." I walked Spring to the cross ties and slid my bridle and saddle off of her.

"I was as well." Kaci helped me with my bridle and bell boots. "I never knew Spring could move that fast. She's a crippled girl,"

Kaci giggled when Spring turned her head, flicking her ear.

I lead Spring to the wash rack and hosed down her legs and chest. I then sweat scraped her and leg her into her paddock.

"Have a good time, girl." I remembered a new horse coming tomorrow. She was supposed to be a jumper, and really sweet.

"Don't forget to be nice." I giggled. One of the things Spring could not be. Nice.

Spring's P.O.V.

/The Next Day\

I munched on some grass, listening to the familiar sound of a truck pulling up in a drive. It had been normal, until I heard an unfamiliar neigh.

I turned my head, my ears pricked. A trailer was pulling up. I could hear excited whickers from inside the trailer. I trotted over to the fence to get a better look.

The truck was turned off and a person hopped out. My ears swivled back as I heard the pounding of hooves behind me. I turned my head.

Stardust and Kismet were galloping up, their ears pricked.

"What's going on?" Stardust panted as she wheeled to a halt. Her white mane flew over her fleabitten body, nearly touching the bottom of her neck.

Her forelock flagged over her hazel eyes. They shone in the daylight, twinkling as if there were stars settling in them. Or like dust, floating around.

This is why she was named Stardust. The color in her eyes.

"New horse, it looks like." I replied simply, keeping a close stare on the trailer as it was opened.

"I heard of a new horse." Kismit snorted. "Supposed to be a gelding."

I ignored the dun mare, still watching.

The horse that had backed out was pure black, one, tiny white snip on its muzzle and a small star on its forehead.

It was defiantly a Warmblood, looking at its huge frame and curly tail.

As soon as his hooves hit solid ground, he jumped, his ears up and alert and his nostrils flared. He seemed to catch sight of the three of us, who were gathered at the fence, and he tugged on the lead, tossing his head.

I watched, slightly annoyed with the numerous neighs that escaped from him.

"I actually don't know if he's a gelding, the way he's acting." Kismet chuckled from beside me, but once again, I ignored her and kept my eye on the new horse.

After his trainer corrected all of his wrong movements, he walked him towards a paddock, which of course, was right beside ours.

Stardust jumped in delight when she realized that he was going to be put beside us.

When the horse was let off the lead, he immediately galloped towards our side of the fence, his ears and tail high in the air.

Stardust trotted over, seemingly excited that she had a new neighbour that she could talk to.

Seeing them happy and greeting each other just let me feel left out, so I quickly made my way over.

The horse's head turned when he realized I had walked over and an excited neigh erupted from him. "Hello!"

I nodded my head towards him. "Hey. Who are you?"

I turned to the sound of Kismet, who was cantering over, her head low. I quickly turned back.

"My name is Patriot."

Its been so long.. Since September, I think... I just kind of forgot.

I've also been watching American Pharoah. Anybody else see the Breeders Cup Classic?? That was awesome.. And a good way to retire a Triple Crown Winner.

Honestly, I think he's way better than Secretariat. Not a lot of people think it, but it just seems like it to me. Besides the Travers (which he tried so hard in, and Keen Ice did awesome) he was perfect!!

I also can't forget Beholder. They said she bled during her training and was scratched from Breeders Cup Classic. Hope she gets better... And maybe they'll still breed her to American Pharoah.

I was waiting for her to go up against all the big horses in the BCC, but health always goes first.

I've got nothing else to talk about so I'm just gonna...

Em... Go on and write the next chapter.

I will try and update as soon as possible!!

Bye!!
