{Emily's Point of View}
I looked up, staring straight into the eyes of a police officer.
"Is this the house of Emily Adams?" He asked, with a demanding voice.
"This is..." I answered, in confusion.
"Is Miss. Adams home?"
"Yes, that's me?" I answered, in a questioning tone. I nervously tapped my fingers against the cell phone I had in my hands.
"We are going to need you down by the station, so can you please come with me?"
"Um, sure. What for? Why, is everything okay?"
"Please just get into the car." He said in a stern voice.
I followed him outside the door, looking at Taylor, shrugging, as I followed him to the car and got into the back seat, trying to get comfortable, even though I had no idea what was going on, and that concerned me.
As we drove along the familiar road, we made the last left turn into the police station. When Officer Mike opened the door, gesturing me to leave the car.
I followed him into the huge double glass doors. When we got inside he took me into the interrogation room, so I could answer some questions.
He asked me to take a seat, and I sat down, feeling butterflies in my stomach at the thought of what was going on. A new officer, Officer Riley, came and took the seat in front of me.
"Hey sweetie, how are you today?" She asked me in a oddly kind voice, which was soothing to my ears.
I stuttered, but responded quickly, "I'm-I'm good, can you please tell me why I'm here?"
"You need to calm down sweetie, I just have a few questions about the night of June 26th 2012." She replied. I got scared because that day was coming back to me, my friends and I were at a party, I think.. I don't even remember much about that night or what happened, it was all a blur. But why couldn't I figure out what I must have done, that was so bad that I'm in the police department?
"Ask away." I could barely get the words out of my mouth.
"Well, do you know who this person is in this picture?" She turned the laptop in front of her around so I could see the screen. Recognizing my old red hair, that I recently dyed dark brown, I could make out my face, the clothes I was wearing. The beer in my hand. The people surrounding me. The memories started to flash back to me.
*flashback*
"Yo Emily! I think you should strip for us!"
"Yeah! Take all them clothes off!"
I stared at the guys who I didn't know, laughing with them while I was on top of the pool table, twerking.
"No, this isn't a strip club" I answered to their rude remarks.
*reality*
I then heard the sound of a fireworks, so I grabbed Taylor, and we went outside to check them out. But the sounds of lovely fireworks turned out to be gunfire. We didn't know what happened. Taylor grabbed the keys to my car, and we drove back to my house. Thank gawd she was sober.
"Yes, that's, um....me" I looked down, ashamed of what I was doing in that picture.
"It's okay, I want you took look at a few more and tell me if you recognize, and can identify any of these people." She put the pictures on a slide show.
Photo after photo, I realized just how drunk I must have been because I didn't know any of them. "No, I'm not sure I know who these people are." I answered to her, looking into her eyes, noticing now, how blue they really were. I looked at the pictures once more, noticing Taylor wasn't in any of these. She then stopped at one photo, and pointed to a man with a ski mask on, holding a gun.
"This picture? Do you recognize him?"
"No sorry, if I did I would tell you, I promise you"
"Okay. Then you're free to go"
"Why did you need to know about that party anyway? ...If you don't mind me asking." I stood up and shyly looked at them, both of their heights towering over me.
"We were just suspicious about some of the things that happened that night concerning you, but everything looks to be okay for now so, you can go."
"Thanks." I took my cell phone, and practically ran out of the department. I wanted to get out of there as soon as I could. That place freaked me out. I took out my cell out and made a new message.
To: Ryan
Message: Hey, I'm at the police station, I'll explain later. Come pick me up? Tay can't, her mom needed her home.
From: Ryan
Message: Sure. Coming now.
I waited about 8 minutes, then I saw Ryan's car pull up, but in the driver seat, it wasn't Ryan who sat there, I looked closely to see who it was. When I saw their face, I was in a little shock.
The car pulled up in front of me and the window rolled down, waiting for me to get inside.
I looked in the window, not ready to make the mistake of getting into the car with a stranger, but when I saw who was in there, I felt like my whole world came to a stop. I couldn't get myself to walk any closer no matter how much I wanted to.
"Justin?"
