I stalked out of the kitchen and up the staircase. Still wishing the Edward family stair population was lower.
I had a lesson at twelve so I pulled on white breeches and a pink, cotton shirt. I jammed my feet back into my Veredus boots. Then I grabbed my Louis Vuitton oversized handbag and Iphone 5s. I decided to take the elevator this time. I texted Ramond, our chauffeur to drive me to the stables. The doors opened and I walked out.
"I'm going to the stables!", I yelled to no one in particular.
I made my way down the brick steps to Steve. He opened the door of the black Mercedes Benz. I said thank you and plopped myself down in the leather seat. I listened to music the whole ride to stop my wandering mind from predicting how bad my falls were going to be.
When the car reached the stable I hopped out. Ridgewood Stables was big. The barn was painted black and white with the bottom half of the outside walls stone. There was 50 stalls. I walked through the big doors. All the stalls were broken up into 4 sections. The outer sections were on opposite sides of the stable. They had 18 stalls in each row and had barn doors in the middle of the row. The outer section had a private outside area off of the stall, something the inner stalls didn't have. The inner stalls were back-to-back. Each row had 12 stalls. Tack trunks were outside every stall. There was a tack room, grain room, bathrooms, and an office on the right side of the stables. On the left, there was 6 wash stalls and a ladder to the hay loft.
I started to the tack room. I picked up my black Hermes saddle and bridle and heaved them down to my outer stall. I placed my tack on my monogramed Oakcroft trunk.
"C'mon Skyblue."
I grabbed his leather halter and lead him to the cross ties. He snorted and shoke his head. He was horrible at the cross ties. Skyblue moved around when I brushed him and stepped on my toe when I picked his hooves. He even blew out his stomach when I put the saddle on and refused to take the bit. I left him at the cross ties for a few minutes and yelled to Bella, my BFF to watch him. I walked in to the bathroom and pulled my long black hair into a ponytail. Then took a few deep breaths.
I walked out of the bathroom and back to Skyblue. We left the stable and went to the outdoor arena, where I mounted and started warming him up. Bella who was also in the arena guided her piebald pony, Jasper next to us. And by next to us I meant 4 feet away from us. Skyblue had a habit of kicking other ponies. Mr. O'Conner came into the arena and me, Bella, Alexis, Victoria, and Julia lined up in front of him. Here we go.
