"Come on, Kris It will be fun! And its only going to be close friends and co-workers!" Luhan argued, looking at the taller blonde that stood on the other side of the counter island.
"Don't you think a welcome party is too much? Why cant you keep things simple and take me out to dinner?" Kris laughed, taking a sip of his black coffee.
"What fun is there in a dinner? Besides, next Saturday night is the only night we'll all be off. Its a way for us all to relax from all the hell... And you don't really have a choice~"
Kris pinched the bridge of his nose, sighing. "Fine." Luhan silently cheered victory, throwing his arms in the arm. Kris rolled his eyes as he a peeked at his wrist watch, and quickly grabs his gym bag off the glass kitchen table, abandoning his coffee and rushes past the brunet, that had one last idea to try. "Thanks for the coffee, but I have to get to the Hospi-"
"Wait.... I need you to ask Tao if he will come. Maybe you two can come together? I mean Suho and you are planning his release." He smirks, looking at Kris' frozen body at the door, with one hand on the silver handle.
Maybe; Kris' mind quickly thought without him. It could be fun, and it would be the perfect time to get to know him better. Maybe even break down a brick in the wall he has built around him. Kris shook his head, rolling his eyes at his own thoughts. And opened the door. "I'm gonna be late!"
"YOU BETTER ASK HIM!"
*....*
Tao snapped his eyes open, letting fresh tears slide down his cheek. He slowly sat up and whipped his face. Slowing his breathing down to let his pounding heart calm before he started having pains and it set of the monitor.
He's not surprised that he had a nightmare. He was expecting to dream about MinYoung again. He just wasn't prepared for the dream to go into great detail of that day. And the thing he wasn't to do was remember every last detail.
Tao stretched as he got out of bed. Shaking his jagged leg that tightened as he put weight on it. Slowly making his way to the small bathroom. Stripping himself of his clothes and got into the shower, making the water steamy hot to melt the tension in his body. Shivering at the stream of hot water and eased into it as he sighed to the relief.
He rinsed his hair of the conditioner and his body of the white suds. Standing under for as long as he could. Trying his best to clear his thoughts.
Was it too much to ask, to just forget? He thought.
He hesitated to turn off the water and got out, wrapping a clean white towel of the rack around his waist, and dried off the free water on that heart monitor he wished it wasn't water proof. He walked up to the fogged mirror and whipped it, leaving staggers of water. He raked his finger through his raven hair and studied the image in front of him and the detail of the darkened shadows under his eyes. Pouting he turned away and opened the door watching the steam sway its way into the cold open room. He got changed into sweats and a white t-shirt for his physical therapist.
"Oh- You're awake." Chen smiled peeking his upper body halfway into the room. "Sehun asked me to bring this to you." He fully walked in with a silver tray that had a foam cup of water and a tiny cup that contained Tao's pills, and a small plate that was covered with a reflecting lid.
"Wheres Sehun?" Tao asked, grabbing both cups and took the meds. Cringing at the powder left behind on his taste buds and threw the pill cup away and laid the water back on the tray. Sehun was always the one to bring Tao's medication. He used Tao as a excuse every time he brought them alone, to slack off of work and hide from Xiumin or Suho.
