Luciana's POV
I stared at the empty plate, thinking about what had happened last night. I hadn't slept in so long before I got here, and I forgot what happened when I did.
I heard people talking, unable to understand what they were saying. I caught little bits, like words from last night, but I couldn't understand what any of them were talking about.
I frowned. I was scared. I was scared of who I was. Scared about the future. Someone will die by this 'Khione' girl. And someone would die by one of the comrades. I feared that I would be the one to kill them. But who would I kill? Percy? Nico? Pollux? Katie? Chills ran down my spine, and I pulled my feet onto the bench, hugging them to my chest.
"Hey...you okay?" Looking to my right, I noticed Nico looking at me worriedly.
"Yeah. I'm fine." I lied, not wanting him to worry.
He raised an eyebrow. "Are you sure?" He sat down next to me. "You don't look okay. Your eyes are still red from last night, and you didn't sleep since then, I can tell."
I frowned, looking back at the plate. "I was just thinking. About the prophecy." I placed my chin on my knees. "I feel like I..." I shook my head, scared to say anymore.
He scooted closer to me, and rubbed my back. "Calm down, Lucy. Everything is going to be fine."
"No, it's not!" I said, raising my voice unintentionally. "I feel like that I will be the one person against three! I feel like I will be the one to kill someone!" Tears lined my eyes. "And I don't want to kill you! I am so scared Nico, I-I don't know what to do, I-I don't know who I am, and I d-don't want to hurt anybody. I...I-I..."
He took my head in his hands, and made me look at him. He wiped my eyes. "You need to calm down. Don't think about the prophecy. Everything is going to be okay, I promise you." He frowned. "Did you sleep after it?"
I shook my head. "I was afraid of what else I would dream of."
"You need rest." He said.
I looked away sadly.
"Alright. For now, get your mind off of the prophecy. About the dreams. Think of something else." He suggested.
I nodded. Closing my eyes, I tried to think of something else. I saw what looked like the entrance of this camp, and two people exiting from a taxi. One had dark, curly brown hair, dark skin, and golden eyes. The other was taller, looked Chinese, having a face that didn't seem to fit with his body. He was tall, with a roman haircut, and a bulky look. I recognized them. I didn't know from where, but I did. Names appeared in my head. Frank Zhang and Hazel Levesque, it spelled out. I know them... I thought. Pluto... Mars... I heard.
"C'mon, Frank." Hazel said. "Let's go."
I opened my eyes, and looked at Nico. "I-I saw someone." My eyes looked over at the entrance to camp. His followed. "Hazel...Frank..." I murmured.
His eyes widened. "You know them?"
"Yes...no...I don't know..." My breathing quickened as I tried to remember.
"Okay, okay, calm down, breathe in," He said. "Breathe out."
I followed his instructions, my breathing shaking.
"C'mon. Let's go and see if they recognize you."
"T-They haven't...I-I know they haven't..." I rubbed my arms.
The two headed this way. They waved, but Nico didn't seem to notice.
"Okay." He thought for a moment. "Okay."
I hugged myself. Calm down. I thought. Calm down. I repeated it over and over, not noticing that they reached the pavilion.
Nico stood up, greeting them. He talked in a hush tone, and guided them over to me, and asked one simple question.
"Do you know who she is?"
Hazel looked at me, then at Nico. "She looks like you..."
Frank nodded in agreement. He narrowed his eyes, seeming to hold something back.
Hazel furrowed her brows. "Nico, what is this about? Who is she?"
Nico took a deep breath. "Okay. Her name is Luciana, and I feel like I know her. She only speaks Italian, and she has no memory at all besides that. She had a dream of one of her memories last night, and she looks like..." He hesitated. "...she looks like Bianca. I mean, she knows me. But she can't remember everything. And the thing is, she knows you too."
Their eyes widened.
Nico looked at me, and started to speak to me in Italian. "I haven't said their names yet. Tell them who they are."
I nodded. "Hazel Levesque. Frank Zhang. P-Pluto, Mars." I somehow managed to say the names of their godly parents in English. I looked up at them, fear in my eyes. Fearing who I was, fearing what was going to happen, fearing their reactions.
Hazel seemed to notice, while Frank was having trouble taking it all in.
Hazel frowned, my eyes locking with hers. "She's suffered, Nico. Pain, loss, loneliness, sorrow. She's afraid. Gods, what I can see in her eyes, is only a fraction of what has happened to her."
Somehow, I understood her. Hoping that she could help me remember who I was, I thought of my dream about Tartarus, and the scars on my back. I thought of the monsters that took me in there. And I thought about my memory.
Hazel gasped, seeing all the events I thought of. "Oh my Gods. She feels hated, forgotten - no, she was forgotten. She was held prisoner by a goddess...I can't make it out..."
"Gaea." Nico guessed.
Hazel slowly started to nod, as if seeing the goddess' form. "Yes...how did you know?"
"Prophecy. Us and three others are going. Me, her, Percy, Katie, and Pollux." Nico explained. "'Gaea's prisoner is returned what was gone,' was one of the lines. Maybe it's her memory."
I looked away from Hazel's gaze, blinking tears out of my eyes.
Hazel looked at Nico. "Do you realize how long Luciana was her prisoner?"
He shook his head, furrowing his eyebrows. "How long?"
"Over 70 years."
