Chapter 1
The world outside was so cold, yet (although this seemed impossible) it was nowhere near as cold as my aching heart. The blizzard of questions raged on inside of me. Who was he? What did he want? The question, however, was never to be answered, because the damp cloth was yet again pulled gracefully over my hyperventilating mouth.

I’m not sure how long it has been since I have seen the light. My mind burns as it wonders if it is hallucinating. The fire lit inside of my body begins to char my insides. It felt like Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis (yes this is a real word, a lung disease to be exact) had taken over. It had taken over my mind, body and soul. The white mist glazed over my eyes as I breathed in the alarming smell of smoke. Or maybe crack. I'm not really sure.
