Other Fanfictions

Typically, I don't read other fanfictions because I don't understand other fandoms. But if you have one you want me to read, go ahead. But, rules! Default character's name for explaining the rules: Brunhael/Aersla.

1) ONLY other fanfictions should go here. Fire Emblem, Skyrim, and Pokémon fanfictions should go under their respective chapters.
2) No second person, horror/survival genre, or Twilight fanfictions.
3) In the comments, let me know if it's a crossover fic. (Skyrim x Pokemon, for instance)
4) I'm blunt to the point of it coming across as rude. If you're offended easily, I'd say not to post. Or to post you don't want criticism.
5) Clean language in the post. Very little strong language maximum in the story. (And yes, AC fans, I do know how to curse in Italian.) Please give a notice.
6) Do not praise my work directly before, during, and/or after you post. Just doesn't make for a good impression. Same thing goes for following me; if you follow me just to get me to read your work, I'm not going to. But thanks for the follow.
7) If you want criticism, let me know. If you don't, let me know. If you don't specify, don't be surprised if you have a random post-it on your chapter. And if you do want criticism, I won't coddle you. But you can choose between "brutal honesty" and "tempered honesty." The difference is in the phrasing.
8) No explicit sex scenes. Imply it? Fine. Show it but skip on a bunch of details? Eh... depends. Let me know beforehand. Hot, steamy descriptions? Leave it out, please.
9) I'm fine with whatever you and/or your characters prefer when it comes to sex. But that doesn't mean I like to read it, or have it shoved down my throat. I personally am straight and my characters will be, too. No yaoi or yuri fics (look it up if you don't know) and no kink.
10) Rape? If it happens, offscreen, please. And it needs to have a good reason for being in the story. Aersla hates guys touching her because of her past? OK. Brunhael deciding he wants to "become a man" and doesn't care if his partner consents? NO.
11) No domestic abuse.
12) Drugs? A little, but don't portray it as a good thing. It's not.
13) Murder is fine. Looting a body is OK. Killing someone to loot their body I can swallow. Purposefully flat-out desecrating the corpse is not acceptable. (Exception: Ezio Auditore shakes, curses, and (maybe) spits at Viere de Pazzi's corpse. That is scripted to happen in the source material. Mass cremations for enemy soldiers are also not desecrating if the handling army is respectful.)

14) Proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Sentence fragments are OK; this is fiction, not English class. Sentence fragments every single time? Not OK. General rule: if your teachers never put a red/black/blue mark on your papers in regards to poor spelling/grammar/punctuation, then you don't really need to proofread it. One misspelled word, poorly structured sentence, and left out punctuation is fine. Even two or three over a chapter is fine. Too much is choppy and I'm going to write "Too many punctuation/spelling/grammar mistakes for my taste. Sorry." and will stop reading it there.
15) Don't expect me to get to it immediately. This is probably the last grouping of stories I will read and I have my own writing to do. I also play video games and am taking college courses.
16) Corollary to above: If you update and it's in my reading list and you want me to read it, send me a message. I use my reading list to see who last updated and I might not get to you.
17) Unless I stop right in the middle for grammar, punctuation, or spelling errors, I will generally read everything already posted. That doesn't mean I'll vote for it. If the last thing I remember is Brunhael being stabbed in the stomach in chapter 6, that's probably all you had posted.
18) Have fun in your work! If you aren't an author for a living, you probably aren't making money off writing. So express yourself and weave a story for the ages.
And if you're still reading, good for you :) Post below and I'll try to get to it soon.
