"Here's to my first and last drink for tonight" raising the shot while speaking loud enough for everyone around my area who was trying to get me drunk to hear. I threw my head back and try to swallow all of the tequila shots in one gulp. The strong feeling hit me as it goes down my esophagus, burning a hole in my chest. With no salt, lime or any ice added to it. Just the way I like my Tequila.
"Yeah, you said that two shots ago." Said my friend Teana, sitting on the couch next to me, bored out of her mind while scrolling down her PHONE reading emails.
"It's a party! Have some fun" I shouted over the loud music that was blasting from the DJ's speaker. "My clothes are selling from left to right, so I need to reply to these emails in the next few minutes. And don't forget I'm the one driving," she said making eye contact with me for the first time since we arrived, and just like that she got up and disappeared in the crowd. Her tone and body language indicated that there was something wrong with her, but I wasn't about to confront her, for my therapist hours have ended the minute I left work today.
I walked in this place with three people who were supposed to have my back just in case I have a little too much to drink and started acting like a fool; because Lord knows I can't hold my liquor, but instead I was sitting there all alone watching a big crowd of people, dancing on each other to some Ludacris song.
The house was as a big as a night club, but with the expensive furniture and posters of the lacker guys everywhere. If you ask me I think a house party for a grown ass man is a little tacky, but since I was told it's a supprise party i'll forgive whoever choose a mansion instead of a club.
I shift my eyes to my left and saw my friend Julie, AKA business partner grinding on some tall, sexy Caucasian dude. I turned around at the right time to see my other friend Justin get slapped by the red head bartender who then walked away angrily. He rubbed his right cheek and swallow another shot of whatever he was having as if mothing ever happened.
And then there was me, sitting there with nothing to do but look at others around me having fun. Don't get me wrong, I love going to parties, especially here in New York. Parties that are full of rich and sometimes famous people, but my number one reason for accepting the invitation earlier that day was to get Justin and Teana to help me move into my new office, and in hopes of finding a decent guy to lay the pipe; he doesn't even need to have GOOD CREDITS.
Three years without sex was starting to take a toll on my life, so I think its okay to say that I was a little desperate. Justin and I tried once the year before, but shit was weird as hell, so awkward he went two weeks avoiding my phone calls.
I couldn't blame him though; I mean crying while you in the middle of sexual intercourse with your male best friend is as bad as it sounds.
Feeling a little bit dizzy after drinking two whole shots of strong, expensive tequila. I put my clutch along with my low battery phone on the glass table in front of me and lay my head down on the white sofa.
"Everybody please put your hands together and welcome the birthday man!" A deep, husky male voice shouted through the microphone so loud that I felt the echo knock in my left temple... Or maybe it was the alcohol.
"Happy Birthday to you! Happy birthday to you! The whole crowd of sweaty people with expensive cologne and perfume hitting my poor nostrils, singing happy birthday to some guy whom by the way I couldn't see because I was too lazy to get up and joined everyone else.
Out of nowhere my bladder felt the need to send me to the bathroom while the birthday guy is giving a toast. I mustered enough strength to get my body to sit up.
Holding both sides of the sofa, I got up, and pull my all white Versace dress down and grabbed my belongings. With my gold 4" Tena heels designed by Teana herself, my attempt to walk and find the bathroom in a mini unfamiliar mansion was not working so well for me.
