So! I almost forgot to update!!!! I wasn't planning on it, but i spent most of the day at my city's Civil War Days, came home and ate dinner and got a shower before going back for the dance and staying there until the guy I was hanging with had to go on guard duty for the night. His (nick) name is Biscuit! They are already threatening to call me Gravy since I was tagging along with him and I (kinda) forced him to the dance which he only went to five years ago because he was hogtied and carried there. The shipping has already started, both at his camp and my home and we only met this morning. I have been up since 8, at civil war since 10, and only got home an hour ago with enough time to crank this out with one minutes left!!!!!!!!!! Congrats!!!!!! And yes, I already went into the camps with the idea to join as a reinactor (reenactor??) before I even arrived so there might be more stories of Biscuit and Gravy later!!!!! PS. The general of the unit likes me and wants to adopt me, so don't mess with the general's daughter!!!!!!! :D ;)
Aquitaine, France, La forêt de Coeur noir et vert de la Terre: Le Château de la bête.
March 1st, 1986.
Belle was walking through one of the many halls along the castle, looking out the floor to ceiling windows at the white and melting world outside. Green was finally coming back to the place and she found herself looking forward to how it would look in spring with animals jumping about with their young kids, flowers in bloom, and the bright sun illuminating every wonderful second. She then found herself looking forward to the summer where she hoped to find a little pond to go swimming in with a cool glass of lemonade or iced tea sitting on the dock or shore waiting for her when she got out. She envisioned herself there for another birthday, this time celebrating it with the whole castle, another Christmas where she once again forced Griffith down for a feast the night before and a small impromptu chapel service the next morning before presents. She also hoped she could soon return his kindness with a small gift for his birthday, if she could ever figure out when it was, his secret nature making it difficult for her.
As she walked along the halls she could see the maids skittering about and dusting things with large smiles on their faces, butlers where putting used items back where they belonged and brooms were running about chasing after small mice and dust bunnies on the loose. She asked one of them and made sure the mice were being brought out to the field unharmed before letting him go back to his duties. She decided that with all the excess happiness within the castle she should go and see Griffith to make sure it was catching up with him, his mood had turned slightly glum over the past week and she wanted nothing more then to make it better. His mood had led to him avoiding her at every opportunity by turning down side hallways and leaving a room as soon as she saw her coming. The only time she truly had to speak with him any more was at meals where they ate together. She was turning down the hallway to his study when she was intercepted by Cogsworth.
"And where do you think you are going, young lady?"
"I was going to see Griffith and ask him if eh wanted to take a stroll in the rose garden with me. It is such a happy day that I figured he might like to enjoy it with us. We haven't been since before the blizzards."
"He has no time for such frivolous things today, Belle." He said, grabbing onto the hem of her skirt and trying to pull her back the way she came.
"I hardly think it frivolous, Cogsworth." She said, putting her hands on her hips and ripping her skirt from his clutches.
"Well, that might have been the wrong word, but you don't have the time either so there is no point in asking the Master to join you. You would just waste both of your time when you need to get ready. The Master will see you at dinner!" Cogsworth stopped her path once more. Getting annoyed she stamped her foot before crouching down to his level.
