I woke up to his breath on my neck that sent shivers down my spine.
His arms were wrapped tightly around my stomach as he nuzzled his head closer into the crook of my neck.
"Don't make me get up, Haz."
"I won't."
Because I like the way this feels.
I like the way your head fits into the side of my neck and the way you wrap your arms around me like you'll fall if you don't. I like how close we are, how intimate this is.
I like it but I shouldn't.
"I'm hungry, Haz."
"Me too."
"Order us some lunch?"
I looked at the clock, 6:26.
"It's dinner time, Lou."
"I don't care. I'm hungry. I want chicken."
I reached for the phone, only to realize that I could reach it all the way from Louis' side.
"No wait, I want mashed potatoes too."
I got ready to scoot closer to the phone but he held on to me tighter.
"No, stay here. You're nice and warm. Just reach for it."
"I can't."
"Yes you can. Try."
After several attempts, I was able to reach it by grabbing Lou in my arms and moving us closer up.
After I ordered dinner, I grabbed my phone.
"What's on your phone that's so important, Harold? Have you met someone that you're not telling me about?"
Yeah.
His name is Larry.
Larry Stylinson.
"No I'm just checking up on our fans."
"Find any pretty ones?"
"Nah, I don't think I'll be finding anyone soon."
Because I have you, Lou.
He was silent and I looked over at him.
"Lou? You got quiet on me."
"Remember that one girl was I taking to for a while?"
"Yeah, Eleanor, right?"
"Yeah."
"What about her?"
"I've decided to start seeing her."
And that's when I knew that whatever I developed wasn't fake.
There was no way that the ache in my heart was pretend.
No way that I felt this horrible piece of me missing after one stupid sentence.
No way.
"Really?"
"Yeah, I was actually thinking about seeing her on our break in a few days."
But we were going to stay in Berlin and be tourists.
We had plans.
"I know that we were going to do something, but I just thought it would be alright to go off on my own just this once."
But it wasn't just once because after that break, we stopped spending so much time together.
He stopped coming by, he stopped talking to me, we became two guys who happened to be in the same band.
