The Life (Norminah)

Chapter 1

As Normani was waling out of her last class she ran into Dinah again. "Oh, hey Dinah.", Normani said. "Hey, Normani.", Dinah said. "What are you doing later?" "Going to eat. Wanna come?", Dinah asked. Normani shrugged, "Sure."

They both left the school and went to Outback. "What are you ordering?", Normani asked. "I don't know, maybe the steak, some fries, a drink.", Dinah said. "Same."

The waitress came to their table and took their orders. "Thank you.", Normani said before the lady walked off.

"So..." "So, what have you been up to?", Dinah asked. "Nothing really, you?" "School, summer, stuff.", Dinah said. "Ni-", before Normani could finish the lady came with their plates.

"Yes! Food!", Dinah said excitedly. Normani's chuckled. "Let's dig in." And with that they ate their food.

"Ready to go?", Normani asked. "Yeah. Let's go.", Dinah said. Dinah and Normani walked out of the restaurant and drove home.

"Bye, Mani!" "Bye, Dinah!". Normani said before she drove away. Dinah went inside her house and sat on the couch.

"Where were you, you little b****", Dinah's mom said stumbling over herself. "You said I could go out to eat after school.", Dinah said. "Are you drunk?" "Do I look like I'm drunk?"

Dinah nodded. "Come here!", Dinah's mom yelled. She slapped her. Dinah ran. "Come here!"

"Stop!", Dinah yelled. Dinah ran towards the door, but she tripped. Dinah's mom smirked as she came closer.

Dinah felt behind her and got a vase. She picked it up and threw it at her. She ran out of the door crying.

"Dinah?", a familiar voice said. She looked up. "Mani?" Normani got out of her car and ran over to her. "Are you okay?" Dinah shook her head. "Do you wanna tell me what happened?" This time she nodded.
