"What a little bi-"
"Avery, it's okay! Think of it this way. It brought us together more than it did tear us apart." It had been about a week since the bonfire. Jess had called, texted, IM'd, Face timed, Snap Chatted, even going as far as tweeting, instagraming and facebooking Avery publicly. This raised a lot of questions throughout school. I even heard a few of the teachers talking about "the breakup of the dynamic duo, Avery Lane and Jess Devorse". But when Avery saw Jess had sunken as low to get on MySpace, and Avery got a notification on her phone from the app that had been abandoned circa 2009, she wanted to pop Jess's head like a pimple on a teens face on picture day.
"I mean MYSPACE!? MySpace. She messaged me on MySpace, Matt... What the hell?"
I watched as Avery threw her phone onto my bed and furiously raked her fingers through her thick, brown hair. I bit the inside of my cheek, but couldn't hold back the laugh that escaped my lips. I continued you to laugh harder as my eyes met her death glare.
"Babe, come here."
She reluctantly shuffled over, crawling up, and settling between my legs, and laying back on my chest. She grabbed my hands, and started to scrutinize the callused sections. I settled my lips into the crown of her head, and kissed her hair lightly, inhaling the spicy scent of roses, and cinnamon. After awhile of just sitting there, I felt Avery relax deeper into my chest, and watched her chest rise and fall deeply. I carefully leaned over, and saw her eyes closed, and mouth slightly open, as she held my hands in hers, settling them in her stomach. Her feet entertained with mine. I laid back, glancing at the bedside table clock, and saw it was 3:46 on a Saturday. Perfect time for an afternoon nap with my perfect girlfriend.

" Look what the cat dragged in," Avery bit out as Jess hurriedly ran towards Avery's locker. Avery slammed the door and walked the opposite direction, while simultaneously throwing a dirty look over her shoulder. Jess stopped dead in her tracks, and clicked her heeled shoes against the tiled floor, as she stared with a wide-eyed, false innocence at me."Matthew, can we at least talk?"
I shrugged my shoulders, and turned on my heel to follow Avery. I didn't have time for this. When Jess had leaned in to kiss me, I was confused. I would've leaned back, but I had no idea what was going on. When it actually happened, I knew that if I pushed her away, she would've ended up on the ground. I was much stronger, and her small frame wouldn't last against my breath, much less a whole hand. So I shut down, and started stepping back, but she pushed me along until she finally stopped trying to play a one sided game of tonsil hockey. She looked at me with hurt, but I felt nothing until I heard a sniff and saw Avery. If I was pissed before, it was nothing compared to how pissed I was when I saw the tears falling from her eyes. Jess had broken two hearts in one day. Mine, due to the fact that Avery broke up with me because of Jess, and of course Avery's. I decided then and there, Avery didn't have a choice. Jess broke her word. Therefore Avery was going to be forced to break her word to Jess. Per my request. That's how it had to be.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Sssssooooooo yeah... Sorry that this is EXTREMLY short, and mainly just filler. Because I had no idea where to pick it up. I know, I know. It sucks. But I promised to get it up before the end of October, so here you go. At least it's SOMETHING, right? Sorry again! But here you go!
