Chloe POV
Luke and I stayed in our seats when the musical ended. We didn't want to get caught in the crowd.
Once the crowd was gone and only a few people were left, Luke and I walked hand in hand out of the auditorium.
"So, did you like it?" Luke asked.
"Yeah! Like I said, I love musicals!" I exclaimed.
"Me too! Normally guys don't, but I do. What is your favorite musical?" Luke wondered.
"Wicked," I answered without stopping to think.
"That's my second favorite. I like The Phantom of the Opera," Luke told.
"That's a good one," I said, nodding.
We weaved in and out of talking people who hadn't left yet. Eventually, we made it to the parking lot.
"I guess this is it," I said.
"For today. I'll be seeing you tomorrow at church," Luke reminded.
My mind went blank. Then, I realized Luke had asked me a couple of days ago what church I went to. "Yeah! I'll see you then!"
"Bye," Luke whispered.
"Bye," I responded, giving him a tight hug.
I climbed into my car, smiled, and drove home. Olivia was waiting there for me.
"You look happy," Olivia observed.
"It was great," I sighed.
"Did anyone see you?" Olivia wondered.
"Tyler and a boy from the other team," I shrugged. "I forgot that he was coming to my church tomorrow."
"Oooh. A date a church! I've never heard of that before!"
"I don't think that counts as a date," I said.
Olivia shrugged.
"So now what?" I asked.
Olivia perked up and pulled out a movie case.
"Not another Hallmark movie!" I groaned.
"Yes! Why don't you like them?"
"Love isn't that perfect," I pointed out.
Olivia laughed. It wasn't a wicked or mean laugh, just a nice one. "Chlo, look at your relationship with Luke. It is perfect."
"No it isn't," I argued.
"Have you guys had romantic dates where all you do is smile and laugh?"
"Yes, but-"
"And has anything bad happened in your relationship?"
"No, but Liv, I just came back from our second date. Of course everything is perfect...for now."
"Whatever you say..."
Olivia put the new Hallmark movie into the DVD player and turned it on. Like always, I didn't watch the movie. The thing that was different from normal was that I was thinking about love. I knew that love wasn't perfect; most people know that. I also knew that love may seem perfect at first, but there are hardships in everything.
There was one thing I didn't know. Instead, I felt it.
I felt that a storm was coming.
And it was big.
