On an island off the coast of Japan, a High school was built for vocally talented children to learn and pursue their talents. These students were allowed to move into separate neighborhoods assigned to them when they were accepted into the school with their families.

Me? I'm Hatsune Miku, or Miku Hatsune if you are from the West. The majority of my family works full time jobs but my older brother, Mikuo, who was accepted as well. If I
said I wasn't nervous, I'd be lying. I didn't know any of these people. they were probably much better singers anyway.

"Miku?"

I immediately woke from my thinking to look my older brother in the eye.

"Hm?", I responded looking away.

"What's up? You seem so distant", Mikuo asked, looking at me worriedly.

"I was just thinking..."

"About what?"

"You already should know"

"Miku, your great, hell, better then me or anyone we know at singing."

I stared threateningly into his dark teal eyes. "That's just it... we don't knowing these people"

The train car jolted again and Mikuo grabbed his bed post quickly to stabilize himself. I started giggling and he flopped himself on his bed. His looked at me and shook his head. "I just don't understand girls.", he commented before rolling to his side away from me and pulled up his covers. It was pretty late so I simply pulled up my covers and closed my eyes.

The next four years of my life would be either hell or heaven and it all started tomorrow.

I woke up to Mikuo's alarm clock. He usually woke up to the clock and would come to wake me up so having ringing wake me up and not my brothers shaking was a shock.

"What time is it!?", I yelled over to my somehow awake brother.

"Pretty early so you could get ready, you seem to always be complaining about how much time you need for your hair.", he said, turning to smirk at me.

"UGHHHHH", I yelled, my hair everywhere. And I mean everywhere.

"Ever consider getting it cut?", Mikuo asked for the fiftieth time like a worrisome father.

"Geez, dad! Your so old and unhip!!!", I yelled at him with a snotty voice.

He stuck his tongue out at me before throwing over the brush. I nodded as thanks and started brushing my knotted hair. At this point, it doesn't even hurt when I brush my hair. I grabbed my uniform and red ribbons and beat Mikuo to the bathroom. I ripped off my teal night gown and threw on my white dress shirt along with a teal tie, my pale brown sweater vest, my custom teal plad skirt and tied up my hair.

Mikuo jumped into the bathroom as soon as I finished and slammed the door closed. I looked out the train's window and saw an island coming quickly closer over the sea. I looked over at my black bag and noticed something missing. I looked around and found the little pin in my jacket pocket that resembled a leek. My parents had given it to me (an onion to Mikuo) before we left. I poked the needle into and out of the bag's fabric and clicked it into the holder

Then, there was an announcement. "We will be reaching the island soon" a monotonous woman's voice droned.

After a while, the train stopped and the doors leading outside of the car to the train station unlocked and the stairs extended out. I opened the steel door along with a lot of other students. I looked at a map a kind lady at the station had given us and found the school courtyard, where the students were to group up.

Once there, me and Mikuo ended up losing each other in the huge crowd, but we had our phones so I wasn't too worried about losing him entirely. I looked at my specific program and noted that the students of my grade were meeting in the gymnasium. On my way there, I tripped over something and grabbed whatever was in front of me, accidentally pulling someone else down too. I heard laughter and a few gasps. I looked up and saw a group of people staring at me and one or two laughing.

A. K. A. my new friends.
