"In chaos theory, the butterfly effect is the sensitive dependence on initial conditions in which a small change in one state of a deterministic nonlinear system can result in large differences in a later state. The name of the effect, coined by Edward Lorenz, is derived from the metaphorical example of the details of a hurricane being influenced by minor perturbations such as the flapping of the wings of a distant butterfly several weeks earlier. Lorenz discovered the effect when he observed that runs of his weather model with initial condition data that was rounded in a seemingly inconsequential manner would fail to reproduce the results of runs with the unrounded initial condition data. An exceedingly small change in initial conditions had created a significantly different outcome..."

Dipper zoned out of his teachers speech about the butterfly effect, he didn't need to listen anyway for two reasons. One: He was a genius and already knew this lesson. Two: This was the last week. He was about to graduate. He didn't have to worry about anything, he was in the clear. Though he wasn't sure what he was going to do after he graduated highschool, he go straight to college but he was sure Mabel would be upset. He'd need a rest anyway, immediately starting college after highschool wouldn't be very smart. He rubbed his temples and sighed, looking toward the clock. Just a few seconds... ring!!
Most of the students ran off in a blur of colours, dipper slowly followed with his bag on his back. He put some of his books up and grabbed the books that he'd need for history. Mabel hugged him on his way to his last block, they exchanged words ( Mabel was going on about some guy, per usual.) and left to their respectful classes. Dipper sighed as he walked in. Just a little more.
