Dungeon Siege - Awakening

Prologue

Elandir the mightiest of all Agallans first came to the desolate yet beautiful forested land and stood on the highest of the great mountains surrounding it and saw the future of the land,he sighed deeply and wished that this beautiful land would not meet the fate he had seen,this land was later named Aranna by the Agallans.

Soon after the Agallans came their counterparts the Utgard giants came to Aranna and soon conflict between them intensified.

The Agallans were peace-loving giants who did not want war but the Utgards were feral and ferocious and were mortal enemies of the Agallans. A war between the Giant races began and this war changed the landscape of Aranna forever.

Clashes between the giants had an adverse effect on the land and the magical energy that was released during clashes slowly started to accumulate in the leylines below the land.

Aranna was torn asunder when Elandir fought Ushnark the Utgard King.When both of them finally stopped out of exhaustion they saw around them desolation and death.

The Giant Kings at that moment realized that neither of their races could ever inhabit Aranna in the pitiful condition their battles had left it in thus they decided to finally make peace between the races and end their conflict. They signed the peace treaty in blood and vowed to adhere to it.
